Why play as IS? Never liked clan mechs so much. IS has more different mechs at roster so its easier to find mech that you find to fun to play, and for me FUN =/= COMPETITIVENESS. Now a days balance between IS and Clans are much better than what it was in Wave1 times.

I have always liked mechs like, lolcust, hunchback, cicada, catapult K2 etc. and I find it hard to get interested about timber wolf and stormcows, thou ebon jag is quite fun I have to admit.

Agreed. We all know that the Black Knight AND the Timber Wolf are both good mechs. Let's stay focused and politely discuss what their respective advantages are and why. If you cannot, please make your own thread and argue it there.

It may in fact be a popular topic, but five plus pages of six month old out of date opinions based on the state of the game back then are pretty damn irrelevant. The op should have created a new thread for this topic.

You probably should have taken your own advice and made your own thread so we don't have people getting distracted by responses from people who posted about the state of balance between Clan and IS from six months ago. Heck, some of these people are not even around anymore.

That being said I personally prefer my IS mechs to my Clan mechs because the IS mechs just feel better. That isn't to say that the Clan mechs are all bad because some of them are in fact very good, but from an efficiency and feel standpoint they don't really hold a candle to a lot of the IS mechs.
