we got all the FLASH sales going on, and u can buy different colors for some 3$ each on sale,

Let's not act like we don't remember Project Phoenix's "SALES BAR" where they were like "Stretch goals hoe give us money and this bar will go up!" And they never marked it with any sort of scale and it just slowly went up every couple weeks no matter the sales? Like...we were all saying "Dude it's gonna hit the end regardless, there's no scale. They can sell $10 and act like they made a million" And when they hit the end of the bar you got the "exclusive" flame pattern? You know? The pattern that was totally NOT exclusive?

I wouldn't know cause I got a refund on it tbh.

So, so, SO very glad I didn't buy into the Phoenix packs. Or Clan packs.

I bought into Phoenix but not Clans, since, you know: Russ kinda told everyone to their face they'd been scamming us all along in between those two, and I don't give money to people like that.

OH yeah and I remember I got into an argument about Phoenix refunds with another "veteran (who was like some private and never been to war)" because he was like "dude you're entitled" and I was like "Naw dawg this is America if something sucks, you get your money back"

Then I blew smoke in his face, did a front flip off my skateboard and dunked on him, and winked as his girlfriend rolled out with me cause that's how it works.

I like how CW is "different this time" because they are "actually working on it this time instead of simply planing to get it done later"

I also hope this reunion was worth it, I spent a ton of delta V on getting here.

Finally finished all 43 pages. PGI, you deserve everything you have sown.

Heavy Handed slap downs of anyone that tries to tell you that you are messing up a beloved franchise. Lies, lies and more lies. Always lies. Its 60-90 days out, its in the mail.

I am a founder, phoenix, clan, sabre and was going to buy the new clan package. But at this point, I havn't played in awhile. Probably will not play again. I can only hope they figure this out.

I am a die hard BT fan, since droids and buying it from FASA guys at Pacificon in San Mateo. MWO has such promise, but it has failed in so many ways.

Karma is a ........

The Ogre has left the building.

I was going to tear into the farce that is (digital) Gold Mechs, but I still can't convince myself they exist. When I heard about them I thought it must be a joke my friend was playing on me because he knew I was disappointed with the game and PGI in general. It was the most tone deaf thing imaginable, like something a gamer version of the Onion would write up an article on. Once I ran into multiple people claiming it was real I was sure whatever blowback PGI got over it was sure to motivate them to stop and take stock of their development and customer relations strategies. Now I'm here in a thread where a company representative lays the community response to a series of catastrophically dumb decisions squarely at the feet of the dastardly folks at SomethingAwfuldotcom. I now firmly expect that the next time I take notice of PGI they'll be breaking into my car and stealing my change to fund a game that involves real life, full scale mechs to be steadily rolled out over a six month period, they swear..

Oh man Comppro, those were the days, back when PGI going back on their word and funneling money from Founders into other games was all we had to worry about... <_<

That's the 3rd or 4th time they've used that excuse. I'm surprised it still has mileage.

First it was supposed to be soon after Open Beta, then it was soon after the Launch Party, then it was 60-90 days.

I did not believe that was a real comment, about the 500 dollar mechs. Apparently it is.
Frankly, I am disgusted.

Well done by Reddit. PGI should defintily think about the image they have created for themselves.

Like I said, I've been out, you see our island has several sizeable deposits of various rare earth metals which allowed me to construct a FTL capable starship and I have since been out doing "space things" and missed the other 3-4 times they used that excuse.

Everyone misses the B at the end of my name...
It's actually supposed to be Çòmppróß (its kind of like a face...)

Yes, I remember those days. Spent a lot of them in the Meme Thread or with the Memesters creating videos. Oh! Remember Finlay?

Sensitive and emotional soldier piloting 100 ton assault Mech.

Just like my Japanese animes.

Also, this is not the first case when PGI has abused the banhammer. Now, I'm no longer directly associated with any group since I quit playing this game some time ago, but over my "career" as a "mechwarrior" I have read a lot of complaints from Kong members about PGI handing out soft and hard buns left and right for stuff like "spreading dissent" inside and even "outside" the forums. Now, I'm not really familiar with the Goon community (apart from participating in some emotional in-game banter with their members), but I can only assume that they must have suffered the same treatment, since I cannot picture the Goons being tamer than Kong in this regard.

Anyway, I hate being so blunt, but the moral of this whole story is: "Live by the sword - die by the sword". Or the hammer, as in this case.
