I first started playing this game back in Feb 2013. It was cool, and as a fan of other MW titles, it was enjoyable running around with big stompy robots to blow up other big stompy robots.

I took a break about a half year ago, come back, the game is still the same aside from an infinitely worse user interface, CW is not even in yet, and I was told by a friend about the blatant attempt to ride other people's ideas for a game and it makes me feel ashamed about having paid for my Phoenix pack.

This song is pretty fitting, I gotta say:

First off...I want to address Paul. Paul, you no-talent hack you. You had to **** all over Munstrum's post to fix the Ghost heat here, and you're ability to get that all important 'telemetry' you need...let's just call it like it is...you suck. You couldn't hold a candle to Karl Berg's jockstrap.

Bryan, this one's for you....you suck up. For all of the work you've done here, I want to personally congratulate you helping to destroy this game and the rich history behind it. I would have something personal to say about you, except you rate as a third rate lackie under Russ, so...there ya go.

Oh let's not forget Mr. Kelly Zmak over at the now dead IGP. Eric Peterson was right about you sir. I personally want to "thank you" for helping drive a nail into the coffin of this game we used to love. You're grand vision to turn this game into a WoT clone...FAILED. You sir, I hope you can live with yourself for pissing all over the BattleTech/MechWarrior Franchise.

I bet in the end pgi will ignore all this and say that mechwarrior just isn't a viable ip to try and build a game off of and that's why it failed.

Death Hand's Brigade cared about this game. We were one of the first groups here that worked with all of the PGI developers. We offered you guys tons of advice. We did it because we cared, but many of us we have different thoughts on this game. Some of us still play MW:O and I won't insult them, because I respect their decision to stay and stick it out and hope for something better. I really wanted this game to work out the mistakes. I really did. But some of us...because of what PGI has done, some of us couldn't stand by and watch as PGI has morally striped this game to nothing. But I want people to know that DHB are not just PGI white knights. We do respect each other and some of us HATE what PGI has done here. So please, let's leave DHB out of this.

Hi Niko,

Unfortunately social media can prove to be a double edged sword to many companies. Larger companies than PGI have made mistakes in trying to utilise it to their advantage.

Personally I have never been on Reddit and never plan to.

I would recommend making sure all announcements, information and community relations are handled through the forums first and only.

Unfortunately PGI has been guilty of providing information first (and sometimes only) on media avenues such as Reddit and Twitter. This has driven traffic to these destinations and as you have learned to your cost these channels are not under your control.

Learn from the experience, do not let things get any more out of hand and concentrate on the forums from now on.

If Transverse does not have an official forum then provide one.

Unfortunately being combative with your community in public rarely (re: never) works out well. As you have seen from this thread there are plenty of people who find it hilarious to fan the flames.

Bow out gracefully, make an apology if needed and move on. If you do this it will blow over soon enough.
