Logging in just to THANK EVERYONE FOR THIS BONFIRE.

It really warms my soul to see PGI burning down like this after all the harm they have rendered to the Battletech universe. I've witnessed their excuses, half-apologies, failed promises, empty promises, and TERRIBLE SUPPORT; I think we are long past our due closure for all the pain caused by PGI's terrible incompetence and disingenuous behavior.

And we ALL would feel a bit more appreciated.

Sometime last year Bryan confirmed that you are 'retained' if you just login. We also tested and verified this before he made the announcement. This was a while ago, so it might have changed since then.

Hello and welcome from the Word of Lowtax! We are glad to see that our long-standing plan to ruin Mechwarrior Online has finally come to fruition! It took us many well crafted plans like taking over a subreddit we created in the first place and spending way too much money on this game, bringing in tons of new players, writing articles, hosting town halls, and organizing public events, but finally our dastardly plans have worked! We look forward to ruining the next game that comes along.

Another vote here not to blame Niko. I gather he's annoyed a lot of people, but he's clearly not responsible for the reasons most of the Founders in this thread left the game. It's the lack of promised features and the crass mismanagement of issues like ghost heat etc. that should be addressed if the game is to have any future beyond screwing a few more people with another couple of mech packs.

If I had known at launch how few maps and game modes there would be by now, and how sparse and sterile the game would feel without any metagame, non-mech units, destructible terrain etc. etc. etc. I'd never have given this game a brass farthing.

He's not the only issue, true. But he's one that could easily be removed and that would be a start to fixing their busted ass game.

You want something that really would change people's minds? Rollback to the state before the first ECM release and then a dogged march through all the stuff they should have done correctly in the first place.

because it would be a first step back TOWARDS the community, and a way to show, that they know fully well, how important the community is, be it founder, or gold mech owner.

Yeah I honestly stopped playing because of the disgust of the way they treated their community and constantly blew smoke up our asses. So hear hear.

I never minded ECM tho. I wouldn't mind have HSR broken again so light mechs were actually good again. I miss being a serious problem in my 6xSL Jenner. (Or just miss playing a good Mechwarrior game in general)

Every time I look I think "how much worse can they (PGI) make this." Then I look.....

I have been playing for about 7 months. Even with only that small amount of time invested in the game I know I feel betrayed and more then a little used. I can only imagine how people from the beginning feel.

PGI you have a franchise that people absolutely love and who would (have) willingly showered you in money if you had let them. Do what's right. It's in your own interest to do so really. People love Battletech and they really do want to throw money at the franchise that you hold.
