so, most of the same couple dozen people that have been calling for PGI to burn and lose the license since closed beta, then?

TBH, there are a lot more Founders coming out of that woodwork, so no.

Most of the serial complainers over the last 2 years WERE founders, or founders back up accts, etc.

Seriously, it's like a ten year high school reunion in there.

So just as much rose colored glasses, and questionable memories and such? they getting ready to go cow tipping and catch a few sofas on fire to bond, too?

Pretty much, only way less unknowingly hitting on some former classmate's wife.

Probably, but I haven't seen such a Founder gathering since the 3PV debacle, although my memory could be fuzzy.

Why should I limit important info to off topic where no one will read it? And why worry about what I do, they are on a banning spree and will ban me shortly anyway, and you wont have to ever worry about me clogging up the general forum. Don't forget to get the last word in after I am removed. With the censoring of anything slightly negative going on, I couldn't care less. I like the game, but the choice of doing what they did has lost them my support, and many others.

Hmm, I've been critical of PGI and haven't been banned. So have a TON of other people. Oh, wait. is it because we weren't just being nonconstructive tools who were simply trying to stir the pot for the sake of doing so... I bet it is.

well, you also have to admit, the amount of forum vitriol has been pretty low most of 2014 compared to the whole Open Beta to Launch era.

A lot of those folks came back out of the woodwork as we near CW (I mean, it had near a year since Goons...and now? Just one example).

And it seems most still all believe they have the one true vision of MW, though they are willing to put that aside to work with anyone who dislikes PGIs vision of it.

*shrugs* I was unimpressed with most then, and can't say Vass's jockstrap sniffers impress me any more, now.

Well, I guess the mods over there considered them toxic to the reddit community.

Funny how that panned out.

When you say that you have complained, dramatically, do you use a lot of hand gestures?

If there was a 'flailing around' emoticon I'd be spamming it.

Well said! I took a pop into that "other thread" and the level of toxicity and hate was intense to say the least.

There's a lot I dislike about the way PGI handles things from time to time, but like Mischief pointed out, I don't need to go spread as much hate and discontent as I possibly can, trying to rally people to some worthless and meaningless cause that only exists in your own reality.

I'll sure as heck put my 2 cents in when I think something is jacked up, but I sure as heck won't do it in a manner that's disruptive to the people here that are actually enjoying the discussions (sometimes heated discussions) that go on here.

So I hope they have fun in that post and I'm glad they're there and not here. They don't have contributions I find much value in. I'd even go so far as to say the same about Reddit; I'm sure there's a lot of great folks there but it just reminds me of old-school 4chan before the whole 'Anonymous' thing. A lot of people with the strong opinion that they are oh-so evolved and smart and witty and oh look how many upvotes I got. For MW:O though this is their forum. If people on Reddit want to talk about MW:O that's great. Hope they have fun. MW:O should be where MW:O admins spend their time and info gets released.

So yeah... sorta glad Reddit exploded on them, it was inevitable. Like most clique-based environments Reddit is built on the idea of eating your own young and everyone turns on whoever is weakest. Again, hope they all enjoy doing their thing but that's a bad environment for a game company to frequent. Sooner or later you're going to lose a finger.

actually, it kind of is.

And maybe beneficial for actual MWO Forums, as they might post more thing HERE first now. I might be more on their side than the Entitled Founders movement, on a lot of things, but the use of Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, etc over HERE, has never been one of the things I agreed with.

There is a line between constructive criticism and premature incoherent whining hate against pgi. Guys crossing this line don't realize it's even there in most cases. BUT I HAVE BEEN BANNED FOR NOTHING BUT VALID CONCERNS!

Um...you are here. So..not banned? (or was it a temp ban?Valid concerns, handled poorly can still get you banned)

also,. CoC, careful with discussing your moderation.

(Or was the uppercases to emphasise the part where guys don't seem able to tell when they are legit, and when they have become toxic?)

Funny they instantly blamed goons for reporting them. Another funny thing....Goons more than likely don't even play MWO anymore. They seem to be ahead of the herd.

I hate to say this, but I read that gradually as "less people caring about the game". I'm not saying they are justified in everything, but when the dissenting trickles over to people with more leveled headed like Homeless Bill, it's slowly eroding everyone that cares, in all the wrong ways.

I don't think they've noticed the CW thread, or care about it because it's still a document in discussion (with Paul being in that thread right now as we're typing this out).

I'm actually learning towards they all agree PGI screwed up. That's the most unified message they have actually and it's not illogical given the entire Transverse startup while this game is nowhere near complete or finished (let alone the 4 pillars PGI described way back when).

It's easier to think the best of people... then we have people like Colonel Pada Vinson that got far more scarred than I'd ever thought a White Knight would get. He was one of the biggest White Knights ever (and I probably hated him at one time). Now, we're on the same page. That's not what I call "unified progress"... more like "unified distress" and he's far more bitter than I. The level of contempt, if at least disappointment/disapproval grows and explodes on its own at random. It's not healthy, but this is what this game/company is causing for other folks. That's why I take breaks away from this game. Being reminded of the stuff PGI does or does not do is painful. Seeing how "the discontent" act feels rather natural and isn't surprising.

But hey... I can only worry about better tomorrow.

Never said anything about the CW thread. Once The Tags and name registration started, people gone for a year started showing up again. Seeing names, and units every drop I have not seen since Pre Launch.

The latter one. I was never banned from any forum and i will never be banned. Because unlike some of the forum users i'm able to chose my words and stay constructive when it's needed (atleast i think so). I'm not cool with everything PGI does. But that doesn't mean i have to insult them or other forum members because of that.
