Russ mentioned during his Twitch Q&A (today, on the NGNG channel) that CW Module 2 is being released in the Late Fall now. Idk about you guys, but I was angered by the news. Module 2 was supposed to be coming out this month, now it's going to be out when?

Is CW going to be just over the rainbow, indefinitely? Because that's what it seems like to me. I expect CW to be released around X-mas at this rate...

EDIT: In case people question the validity of my infos, you can watch the Q&A after it's over and comb through it yourself to find it. If someone decides to do this later, the question was asked/Russ mentioned the new date before the 5 minute break. About 15-30 minutes before the break.

So no need to log in or play the game for almost another full quarter? Noted.

It turns out that they've just re-taken the reins from IGP. I'm guessing there will be a lot of chaos and changes going on behind closed doors. I'd wait a few days for it to settle before we start pulling this apart.

This shouldn't affect CW progress, though. PGI has had 2 years to work on this. Even if IGP was stalling them, they could have at least set a roadmap for development up while they were forced to slave away at other parts of the game. Afaik they had a roadmap set up for CW, one that they abandoned after launch.

I would cut PGI a break for any other feature, but CW? No, they had the time and money to finish it up, and they still do. A lot of paperwork and redesignation is going to be worked on in the aftermath of this IGP thing, but thier primary programmers and designers aren't going to be the ones that are working on it. Lawyers and the heads of staff are supposed to be dealing with that sort of stuff, right?

EDIT: Don't think I understood the meaning behind your post when I originally wrote my reply. Yes, there will be a couple of days of cleanup after the breakaway. No, it should not affect the progress of CW. Yes, we should be talking about something that Russ stated multiple times during the stream, something very important to most of the userbase. No, the IGP breakaway should not delay CW by a full month or more. Maybe a few weeks, not a month.

Well, technically it already happened back in August. So... one would imagine that much of the chaos would have already died down.

Though, I don't remember anyone saying the next CW module would be this month. Where was that written?

Or, you could all just chill out and either play the game, or no. No need to clutter up the forums with this "PGI Lied, MWO Died" bullshit that seems to come out every time PGI makes any kind of public statement.

So what's this module 2 going to do? Let you select worlds and see information about them? :P

Maybe if I didn't have to wait 5-10 minutes for a game to start I woudnt have time to troll :)

I'm not sure why you're angered or even surprised. Russ said way back in his May AMA that Community Warfare was scheduled for release in Fall 2014, so this isn't exactly new information.

Don't criticize a business's bad moves? Good idea. Let's stop complaining about things that we don't like. That'll really change the world.

I'm not saying PGI Lied, MWO Died, I'm saying that a MAJOR FEATURE is being delayed by another month or more according to tonight's town hall meeting. This is important information, if you don't like the way I'm spreading the information you can reword it and start a different post on a different thread. Make it a discussion of the new info instead of a direct announcment, that way it isn't a repost.

EDIT: Thought there was an official post that announced Module 2 in September, but I cant find it now. Vlog 6 mentioned Modules 1&2 by Fall 2014, so that was officially confirmed. May have been a tweet that mentioned Module 2 in September, which isn't an official outlet, so I guess Im in the wrong there. Anyone wanna help me out with the September date?

Late fall? Possibly December? That's pretty much what I expected. I don't know why anyone is surprised.

The context was more around the dissemination of a tweet/statement on twitch - while we tend to hear things on twitter or in other sources before they are announced, typically command chairs or proper forum announcements are more detailed and reliable.

So I guess it was more of a statement about the flow of information, and that in the chaos of the move (if it's ongoing/wrapped up/whatever) whatever is stated in this context maybe shouldn't be immediately taken as gospel. Maybe.

Update: September 23rd patch, free Mech for people that bought Clan packages. No info on legacy player bonuses for Founders/Pheonix purchasers, may just be a bonus that they are giving out to Invasion supporters. Was hoping that IS supporters would get some love too, but maybe they will, we'll have to wait and see.

Official announcements were the point of this Town Hall, but I can't help but agree that we shouldn't take these announcements as gospel. PGI may have to go back on some skewed information that was spouted out quickly during a Q&A answer, which is expected. Happens to the best of developers.

I personally think the town hall has been positive. I can wait a few more months, no problem. He is correct, they've made solid headway in 2014, admit that 2013 was off track and are giving details on the road going forward.

PGI lied, MWO had STDs.

Give it a rest...this year has seen lots of movement thats all I want to see. Have I been happy with everything, no but has it been an improvement yes. Will I spend more money on this, probably not in the short term. Once I see what CW looks like possibly but in fairness to their candor a studio that has 1 or 2 titles is not going to move on to something else when this is all they got and business relationships can sometimes hinder what you may or may not be able to do.

It will be interesting to see how that develops now that they have divorced themselves from IGP.

Is it a variant for a Clan mech, or an IS variant? Probably not a totally new chassis, I would expect.

I think it's an un-nerfed Victor.

I'm trying so hard to hang in here, and show my support each month, but it's getting so boring... CW needs to happen soon :(
