Upgrade Module: Improved UAV

- 15,000 GXP to unlock
- Upgrades the UAV module
- Increases the UAV's hover time by 15 seconds (60 seconds total)
- Does not need to be equipped to a BattleMech

Upgrade Module: UAV Upgrade

- 15,000 GXP to unlock
- Increases the sensor range of all your UAVs by 25%
- Does not need to be equipped to a BattleMech

Does these upgrades stack or is it either and or purchase?
And are the upgrades worth it or is the base 40,000 CB version good enough?

Also, for the weapon module's, when it comes to range vs cooldown, cooldown comes on top?

You definitely want Improved UAV, it makes the c-bill one the same stats at the MC one. Range is not as critical but if you have the GXP, why not.

I don't know I only got the Improved UAV +15 seconds one.

If you are going to be using UAVs a lot, then yeah. it is worth it. Best investment short of Advanced Zoom.

So for the UAV Modules you can only use one of the upgrades and not both?

I already have the ranged modules for my mechs as they came out first.
Just wondered how much the cooldown reduction is for the LB10X and SRM-6.

I have the opposite opinion of the above posters: against decent opponents your UAV gets shot down, so the extra time is not worth it. The extra range, however, means you detect more enemies with it, or can be more flexible with your UAV placement, so it is golden.

Go for the range, not for the time.

I agree, seems like the 25% boost is the better buy.
