Just wondering would this be a viable option.
How it would work:
If you have a valid premade of 8 - 11 players, you are allowed to drop 'as is', and will drop against a full 12 man side.
This opposing 12 man would come from both, either or, group/solo queues. However, you drop understrength, meaning you just have whoever's in your group, you don't get any extra pickups.
This option is only available if your drop leader has premium time active.
You get some small % modifier bonus for each missing member you have. I'd say a 2.5% boost per missing member, up to a 10% bonus for playing a 8 v 12, to xp/cbills at the end of the match.
I'm personally a big fan of asymmetrical fights. And I hope one day we see 3 Lances vs 2 Stars in proper matches. This would simply maybe be a starting point, just to test the waters, and see if there's interest in such a thing.
Wondering whether people would make use of this option if it was available.

I like the idea, the bonus and >8 mech team sounds balanced at face value too.

Out of interest, if you could talk to those pugs would you still want to bid them away?

Pug filler is the only way most people are going to be able to participate at all. So this is kind of a big 'screw you'.

Yeah. Sure, a bit of it is being lukewarm towards pugs, to put it kindly. But most of it is interest in having a challenge. We can still talk to them now anyway on teamchat.

Doesn't have to be. Like I clearly stated, either or, it'd work the same way as the current queue, try to match the group up vs other groups first, and only sliding down to throwing in PUGs if the game is being slow as it often does.

Not really, because right now PUGs wouldn't get into a group of 8 - 12 man anyway because of the way the matchmaker works.
