I find it funny that he thinks NGNG is an unofficial player council.
I am fan of what they do for the community but come on they're far from unbiased and a lot of people would lose their minds if NGNG was the ones helping make decisions.

Well I go rights to vote, aren't ya? So, mine goes to ...TheB33F! B)
B33F would be an interesting candidate. He has a strong grip on the game to make as much fun of it as he does. He doesn't seem to be ill-tempered, I don't see a reason he wouldn't fit on a committee.

I like that. The council would be serving largely to put PGI's finger on the pulse of the community. That's something that they've struggled with, partially because a comprehensive overview of the whole thing takes a lot of reading and research, and I'd rather PGI be coding than doing that.

Maybe the "title" council throws people off.
In reality the title should be list compilers :D
But council sounds nicer :D

---------------------------------------------------

As far as I saw it's NOT a position of power.
Yes yes people tend to be biased, though I can't really recall Koniving promoting some kind of tactic or cheese.
So it just comes down to the individuals.
So why oppose it?

Just make sure the right guys get into it.
Worst case scenario is a lot of wasted time for those elected.

Jon was working till the dead of night yesterday...I really am surprised they have any time at all for us. If we settled this earlier Russ wouldn't have to call a teamspeak chat up.

But no...some folks are against a council to gather ideas that we can present to Russ.

But Some Folks* are against making a HeroMech to help raise money for a worthy charity and PGI did the right thing anyway.

Prototype Materials Expediter sounds way better than Shipping Clerk. But both jobs involve walking around a warehouse pulling parts to ship to other places.

God why did you have to remind me. That was one of those times that I thought that the community at large was so toxic.

Protesting Sarah's Jenner.

I know what you mean

Guess everywhere, even here in Germany, you have those low end jobs that get a rebrand
And all of a sudden it's less low end right?

That charity mech thing was like a litmus test for who in this community has no freaking soul.

How do you not want to help a charity?

One of those wake up calls for everyone, that there are jerkoffs that play this game and flamebait the forum

And a quick forum search, you can see that Homeless Bill, Bishop Stiener, Joseph Mallun, and Konivig were all very much for Sarahs Jenner and very vocal against the people protesting it.

(its like a real election now....scaaaandaaaaal)

So regardless of what you think of their ideas, those are good people right there.

Whats worse than the protesting, was people TKing people in it when it came out.

Thats just insane.

Wait, wouldn't that be working against unbanned players? Since most of them were incapable of playing the game?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something?

ya, ppl dont get banned from the game for being banned from the forums

Ok. I see what you meant. I was thinking about full bans, game and forum. Forgot there are tiers of banning.

So you think people that post very often don't play the game?

I've got almost 3500 posts here. I also have just around 3000 games played. Does that mean I don't play the game? No not really.

EDIT: This is not counting the stats resets, btw. Just what I have on my profile page right now.

Ya I play too XD

Its 24K+ posts
3,800 Drops as Joe
510 Drops as Anton
178 Drops as Xando
Almost 4500 drops total.

If I could load the game on my work computer my drop total would be Much Much higher. i think I have earned a say on how the game playes. ;)

By that measure I would as well. Ive had at least 4-5000 drops since CB

Interesting to point out, PGI used to host a TS channel themselves and [were told] to stop it [cause they were too close to the players] supposedly by IGP. It will be interesting now that IGP isnt here to see if they ever resume that

Wow, I didn't even know that. Then again, I wasn't active in the community for the first 6+ months of playing the game.

I can remember Heimdelight constantly running meta Direwhales game after game while his team complained about others doing the same the last time I was playing. Thats as cheese as it gets especially when you had Homeless_bill writing how those mechs were essentially exploiting the pug que XD

Yea, they were running the official TS channel before we had comstar NA etc. Then they stopped it and we had Helmar saying something about a controversy that he wouldnt talk about and we no longer had it. It was thought that IGP nixxed it.
