Clan Nova Cat-Alpha Galaxy is hosting a series of invitational, community tournaments this month (and in the coming months) which randomly team warriors from one clan/team with warriors of another clan/team to fight it out for glory and the promise of some MC dollars here and there! "Blood, Bones, and Bolts" is the name of the series which we will be promoting until the end of the year.

Primarily, these tournaments are designed to allow warriors and senior members of other clans/teams to come together and play with and interact with members of clans/teams which they may not have ever have had the opportunity to play or drop with. These tournaments are designed to help such teams perhaps find some new online contacts, some teams to scrimmage with in the future, or some guys to drop with when your team's Teamspeak is empty.

The tournaments themselves are single-elimination, best of 3 rounds...with the winner being the first to post two wins on a specified map. Tonnage limits and maps change with each bracket. Championship rounds are best of 5 on the final map.

After a couple of weeks of waiting; the finalized bracket for the 2v2 Match is up and invited teams and players have been notified. Should be a great event. Be on the lookout for our 6v6 "Mixed Six" Tournament in October!

Congratulations and salutes to Warrior Hikage from Clan Ghost Bear International and to Sgt. Grauggan from Headhunters Grimm Determination RCT for winning the Clan Nova Cat 2v2 Community Tag-Team tournament this evening. It was a well-fought final set of battles and we extend not only our respect, but the respect of all of the represented teams and players for coming out on top.




Certainly the Nova Cats and I extend our thanks to all who participated in our 2v2 Community Tag-Team Tournament. As a community, I think that we all met some new (and not-so-new) players, made some connections for future scrimmages/team practices, and had a great deal of fun. Many thanks go out to PGI for supporting our event as well as the dozens of players and clans/teams who participated. I think that for the most part the tournament was fast-paced and very unforgiving if you made mistakes in mech selection or positioning. We received a lot of positive feedback, especially in regards to having put 32 warriors through the wringer and finshing up the entire tournament in approximately three hours. Thanks go out to Bombadil and Mechakaiju from A.C.E.S., Niko, Prophetic from Night's Scorn, and Chemp43 from Clan Nova Cat Intl. for their support and streaming.

Our next community event will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 kicking off at 2000 hours, est. It will be a 6v6 "Mixed Six" tournament (3 warriors from one clan/team randomly teamed with 3 from another to make one, six-man team). Contact me for more information. Here is the final competition bracket and when the videos are processed and uploaded, I'll have the links for those as well.

For all that might see this, I would like to personally thank EVERYONE who participated in the Clan Nova Cat 2v2 Tag-Team Tournament this evening. It was incredible to see pilots from so many clans/factions/corps learn to work with one another in a short amount of time.

Congratulations to; Graugger from HeadHunters & Hikage from Clan Ghost Bear for winning the tournament.
As well as Dragon Rose from Praetorian Legion & PerfectDuck from Night Scorn for taking second place.

Another massive thank you to PGI for helping us get the prizes set up as well as donating a few to the cause, as well as NGNG.tv for helping send twitch traffic to the streams for the tournament.
