It seems a little silly that you can't use the Ultra feature of the weapon without ghost heat. After all, isn't fact that it jambs constantly enough of a penalty?

Clans are not allowed to have good ballistics that do not rhyme with mouse.


On a serious note, I think the heat scale for UAC 20s need to be toned way, way down.

This weapon doesn't really work the way AC 20s do - so it should not be on such a high scale.

Yes, it is silly. They already have the drawbacks of ammunition and jam rates. Having such a high amount of heat is silly. And the reason I don't use them.

Dakka wolf this is pretty much the same or even bigger monstruosity than the 3x UAC/5 Ilya with the 10% jam chance and 1.0 CD from some time ago, plus a LL

So you can't double tap a single UAC20 without triggering ghost heat? If that's the case. They could at least reduce the amount of extra heat when double tapping.

you actualy can double tap....ish just wait the .5 seconds then fire again, you get another shot in before the reload time finishes.

Yes, because it's not even remotely as dangerous as a Dual Gauss Multi-laser DW.

Does A single AC20 Ultra Ghost? It is supposes to be double the rate and double the heat. I didn't get a lot of time to test in a couple weekends ago. I just know I was Underwhelmed by the weapon.

Well... I just started using the UAC-20 and at first I hated the thing but it grew on me. When it works it is amazing and when it jams it feels like it is always at that moment when the atlas or dire charges right at you. That being said I love the weapon now even with all of its... quirks....

To fox, I have never noticed ghost heat on it. It does create more heat when you double tap it though.

It's pretty sad, the Clan UACs are basically a bad investment.

I feel the posters who pushed for "burst ACs" did the game a major disservice, I don't think those players actually care either.



I said it then, and I'll say it now.

Duration/Burn based ballistics struggle to compete with massively lighter hitscan weapons.


On top of that, you have the UAC 20 generating a crazy amount of Ghost Heat without the same type of killing power you would expect from it.

It's EXTREMELY sad that its a bad investment. It's an AC20. Meanest Weapon on the map. Mechs FEAR AC20 And The Ultra version made grown men soil themselves. I felt like I was using an AC5! It was not at all fun.

Still feel that a global 30 heat scale can work, and reduce heat scale (ghost heat) penalties in the process.

yea guys, I mean, Clan mechs already hit harder, hit further, run cooler with better DHS, they are totally ruining the experience by not giving Clan AC/UACs PPFLD as well. What scrubs.

I can live with the awful design of burst fire mode on Clan UACs in the name of game balance.

But these weapons are just outright bad, unless you can boat several of them (i.e. The Dire Wolf).



For starters, the projectile speeds should not be the same as their IS AC equivalents, that makes no sense considering the delivery system and how little damage each round actually delivers.


Every CUAC aside from the CUAC 2 probably needs a 30% to 50% projectile speed increase, reduced heat & heat scale and shorter burst durations.

If you think the clan ultras are bad now just wait till the all the clans are available for cbills and they nerf them even further

I love the UAC20 and i'm fine with the heat it generates, projectiles could do with being a bit faster and/or the actual burst of shells being a little more tightly grouped.
Also PGI could you make the CUAC's sound like they did in MW3 *DROOLS*.
