For the record a Dev has been killed about 200 times so far /shrug
Please make these events "Kill A Dev/Save a Dev."
Kill a dev on the other team, get a reward.
Dev survives the match on your team, get a reward.

Edit: You know, if it was Save or Kill a Founder (Save = getting a savior bonus off a Founder's mech) with say a target of 5 save/kills for a weekend that'd be pretty great. You wouldn't only have the negative of people hunting you, you'd feel special because your team would want to save your bacon from the fire.
I feel like I'm being gunned for half the time anyway! But I demand that we must use the Founder's mechs if this ever happens. Just don't see them much anymore.

I think this is a great event might just need more "scheduling" or something. Don't let the nay-sayers ruin what should be a fun and light-hearted thing.

Yes, let's watch our "custom", "exclusive Battlemechs" get roflstomped into the ground by hoards of alpha-pumping meta mechs.
Sounds fun! No really, I think it's cool.

I'd add that every dev for the Halloween event should be running Zombie Cents.
I still remember a very bad match on Caustic Valley Russ had while piloting a Cent back in CB. I just put the final nail in the coffin with my own Cent. Of course it was brutal 8-0 steam roll lasting less than 4 min. Poor Russ was our first target just because he had a PGI tag. Every 'Mech on my team fired everything they had that was in range the moment they saw him. His poor CN9-A just melted. My Cent was the fastest of our team group so I got first blood using a Gauss Rifle too. Still feel kind of bad about it since it was my idea to make him our first target.

PGI: You should at least show enough respect for your player base to let them know there are so few of you that we might not even see a dev! I'm wondering how many other players didn't even SEE a dev, let alone get to target one!
If you feel this event makes you upset, let them know, here is your thread. Or BBQ me, What ever at this point! lol
They posted on twitter and streamed on twitch when they were playing this weekend. Sorry you didn't get the memo, but they only have like 50 people tops playing, and I am going to estimate (don't hate me if i am wrong) at least 1 million people play this game over the course of a weekend. your chances are extremely low. Even if you saw one in a game, are you going to complain they didn't power down in front of you so you could kill them? you should rant to your friends and stay off the forums.

No - please keep them coming. But I'll echo what a few others have said - just make this an ongoing reward/achievement. With the relative rarity of a player dropping against a Dev it should just be something that is a persistent achievement. ~200 dev kills out of how many matches this weekend? That has to be an obscenely low percentage.
Or at least do it for a longer period like a full month so that it remains exclusive but not so exclusive that the majority of the player base have never even had the opportunity to achieve it.

Only one I saw was on my team, and I told him to stay in my hip pocket. If I could not kill him no one else was going to...

Because we thought their dev studio was the size of Blizzard or Bioware...maybe SOE? Dude, it's like 30 of them, common sense would have suggested it would be difficult to find one, let alone kill them...even if you were lucky enough to get one in game, it's a 50/50 chance he'd be on your team.

This just isn't a concern of mine... I don't see anything wrong with this event, as it is. Heck, if it were so easy to find (and kill) a Dev, the rewards for an event like this would approach total meaningless.
There is value in rarity.

Do not stop it!.. It's a funny event, but somehow, you must work out it better... You are so few.. and so many player... I don't know how.. ...
OK, what are you thinking for example, something like that:
1. If a player Kills a Dev, will become an "I Killed a Dev!" Item. AND you show that somehow, in the scoreboard for the rest of the weekend (change the color of the name or make it flickering or somehow unique....)
2. If a player Kills a "Dev Killer", he become the "I Revenged a Dev!" Item....
With that way, you could involve much-much more players..

I didn't see any devs until 50 kills already happened but it was fun to be on the lookout for them.
I would just file this under "you can't please everyone" and "people always find a way to ***** about ANYTHING". I mean after all, this was a giveaway of something (MC) that has a dollar value attached to it and it still wasn't enough for some people.
I'd like to see an event like this again.
