Most real centy fans never Zombied it anyhow. So no biggy for me!

I just "LIKED" that it was one of the few mechs that was "BETTER" with a STD engine that gave it an edge over XL's and spat in the face of the whole "Slap moar weapons on it" meta that tends to roll around.

I'll always love the centurion because I prized its uniqueness and functionality.

I know i'm still mourning......it's a process.

No you should try reading. The gesture is good; especially things like the KC.

Putting in content that didn't need to be taken out anyway... not so much.

But it was taken out, and has been gone for two years. Yes, that sucks, but it's the reality. And it was taken out in Closed Beta, for fairly obvious if sketchy reasons. It's never been a part of the game as it stands, given the reset at the start of Open Beta.

They're giving us an awesome mech that's been wanted for ages, that comparatively few people have ever had a chance to pilot. It doesn't matter how much work goes into it, that we're getting another variant for free as a loyalty reward is awesome. It's not like adding an actually new variant would be any different from the end user perspective.

Seriously, people being down on things like this, where we're getting something for free, it's just depressing. Can't you just say thanks?

Back in closed beta this mech was a beast, but a lot of things have changed since then.

Regardless, I'm glad they listened to players and brought this mech back to the field.

While there are technically superior options now, an AC20 and a fistful of SRM's is a perfectly usable loadout in today's game.

On the bright side, the Atlas only has to compete with the AH for two months.

edit: now if only we can get the Urbie!

Honestly, if we got an Urbie next, I'd be at a loss. CW, Clans, KC, Phoenix Mechs... I'm really running out of things to ask for (that I can reasonably get - poor Unseen!)

My hope is that the rear facing missiles getting moved to the front will give it more missile hardpoints than the D-DC. Which would give me good reason to use it. We will see.

It'd be nice to see an Atlas with flat out superior hardpoints to the D-DC, actually giving us a viable Atlas alternative. ECM, or more/better hardpoints? Choices!

They could take away the ECM and I'd still take the D-DC over the others at this point. We will see what this one brings to the table. 4 useful missile slots would probably do it if they don't take something else away in trade.

Without ECM, I generally choose the RS over the DDC but it's a matter of preference, really. I like the extra energy weapons.

You should go whole hog then and use the Boar's Head instead.

I might actually have to buy a another centurion to master them up now. Only own the 9D and refused to sell it since it cost so much and i can;t even get close to value on it.

Free Stuff always a good thing and free mech always a good thing.

I will probley buy some MC now once it goes on sale I think.

Bilbo you still doing your creep in your Atlas, your scary man.

If you've bought any MC, use the 30% C-Bill variant :3

You people claim to be Centurion pilots and you don't know the engine cap for the CN9-D is 390? Shame on you!
when I saw the AH was coming back I dropped my phone. when I read the rest of the announcement I almost dropped it again.

AH was a fun mech, always a bit of a squeeze getting an ac20 and SRMs on it but well worth the trade offs.

not my favorite CN9 but my favorite at the time. CN9-D is my baby. I believe I was the first to build it with the xl370 2srm6 2 medium laser build.

Dunno why people don't know that. 300 is the YLW. 275 for the rest. And 260 was the cap before the poor AH was seen only on Milk Cartons.

Some people forget balance changes that happened in Open Beta. I'd like to block them out myself, but can't. Some can apparently.

I try _really_ hard to forget. I can count the number of balance changes I liked in Open Beta on... Err, well... I can't think of any off hand.

Wait! The time they initially sped up PPC's, making them at least usable weapon vs. Lagshields. Yeah. That one.

The Cent-AH will be a MANLY MECH!!!

All ammo-based, with a HUGE GUN!!!!

Sure, they might shoot it off... sure, you might run out of ammo... but you can also pack a HUGE GUN and a pile of missiles.

I love mediums, and I'm looking forward to running this mech since doing so implies a delightful mix of skill and insanity.

I went 385XL, so my AWS can zoom zoom with the same engine too.
