Why are the names mixed between the IS and Clan names? I thought PGI was going to keep the naming convention of the clans only.

Common PGI, consistency!

I hadn't figured out the math yet, but there's always the rule of "unintended consequences". It'll probably suffer more from low tonnage than anything else (no endo? that sounds criminal).

By the way, PGI, I saw your 1 year anniversary announcement. Just gotta say, kudos to all the stuff coming out, and for free no less, in recent weeks with the contests and the bonuses. I've been an "on the fence" player for a while, wondering where things are going. Though I disagree wholeheartedly with a lot of decisions made on the balance front, I understand the fine line you guys are trying to tread, and that you've got to make decisions about this business. I appreciate the work you've put in and are going to put in. Let's keep this rolling!

They are being consistent. Wave one packages used the Inner Sphere names as well. http://www.mwomercs.com/clans

Why was the naming convention changed? The invasion pack used the proper clan names. The reinforcements use the inner sphere names.
Koshi - mist lynx, Fenris - Ice ferret, Loki - Hellbringer, Man-O-War - gargoyle.

But they correctly named the Mad Dog, aka vulture.

I would much prefer to have the proper clan names. I know the last clan pack called the packages you buy by the IS names and had the proper clan names in game, I hope that's true here as well.

Yeah I know how you feel... I would gladly take thoses mechs without MASC... Was hoping for another assault specially the Executioner.

Cut the MASC and throw in some Shadow Cats and Executioners, heck even some Fire Moths for the light pilots!

Guess thats gonna be clan pack 3...?

About what people expected, but still very, very welcome, especially in conjunction with the giant mass of Free Stuff Piranha's also giving us. The Ice Ferret isn't quite as awesome as the Viper would have been, but it's still going to be pretty much my most favoritest of rides real shortly here. Why yes Charlie, I will trade down to an Ice Ferret from my Stormcrows and pick up thirty extra clicks in the bargain! Now, let's see how many C-ERML and C-SRMs I can fit on this little lovely...

Add in a Cauldron-Born and you have your light , medium, heavy, and assault for wave 3. :)

So, i bought 4 sets of Clan Mech's through the A la carte program. If i buy the Man-O-War collection i will not get the Mad Dog?? If so thats pretty depressing since its really the only one im interested in at this time. Would i have to buy the rest of the Mech's in the first batch to get the Mad Dog, and if so, how do i go about this? Thank you :D

I fully expect Alternate C to be the go-to varient. 6 ER meds and a UAC 20 moving along 90kph, allowing it to hang out with the Timberwolves, is nothing to sneeze at by any stretch of imagination. In fact I'd say that it is very much a very effective mech for those in the competitive realm.
