For everyone talking about the A La Carte from Wave 1 and the Mad Dog. Check the post again, they state that they are working on payment methods for people who did A La Carte to get the Mad Dog. It is why the release is on Wednesday instead of the Regular Tuesday. It will likely be more expensive, but they are spending the extra time to give you the options. FOr now I would say just wait and see how they deal with it.

Very nice selection though PGI, can't wait to get the Mist Lynx on the field.

Russ,

Very Awesome announcements! However I hope the sales will still be in effect after the release of Community Warfare, you see, having been delayed time and again, seeing is believing and I made a promise not to spend real money on MWO until you guys delivered on your promise of CW and planetary warfare. I want to, but I'm held up by CW, lets get it done Russ!

Thanks,
Lynx

Called it! Koshi, Fenris, Loki/Vulture, Man 'O War seemed most likely to me, and that's what they went with. Only thing I didn't predict was the alternate of Loki/Vulture being a loyalty bonus.

This is a very nice package, and if I were spending any money on Clans I'd be all over it.

Love that the Vulture will be a loyalty reward prior to going live for MC or C-bills.

overall, everything looks great.
i am assuming that the second wave mechs will also be available a-la carte. since i've purchased some of the first wave mechs a-la carte and would not be eligible for any sort of a commitment bonus in buying the entire pack, i am wondering if the non- 'invasion special' variants of the mad dog will also be available for ALC purchase.

i think we can all agree that price gate of 360 dollars on the mad dog is a touch high.

Reaction to PGI & Russ announcing the most ugly SOB mech in the known existence, rearing its head:

MAN-O-WAR

I do hope that the mechs with Standard Internals will not be such a resounding dud as the Summoner and, to a degree, the Nova.

the most impressive part of all of today's announcements is PGI's (Russ's) active role in responding to questions people have had today. this goes a long way to giving me some faith that PGI is attempting to fix a listing ship.

much appreciated, will be purchasing man-O-war package the day it is available :D

Glad I don't like any of those. $55 for a single clan mech three clan mechs is a scam.

50 $55 for the Adder? Hell no.

FTFY

Also, care how to explain that it's a scam?

Though....I am contemplating that King Crab...it will never compare to the WubShee of course...but it will have some nice Dakka.

Loki seems to be the best of the bunch, although the Ice Ferret has a chance.

Heh. As my Unit is going to be a Merc unit, I'm afraid there is no reason for me to purchase any of these. Got my one Clan mech for use when I want to play Public and feel the need to be a little different, and no reason to get mechs I'll probably not spend much if any time using once the actual game is released. Especially as I'll need what I'd spend on these for when the Inner Sphere Omnimechs are released.

So, hope the Clan players enjoy these packages, and will wait patiently for when the Inner Sphere gets their own Omnis (or a Warhammer version for MWO, whichever is first, I suppose).

I'll consider it if you:

Make the game enjoyable for small groups again.
Let soloers and groups of any size participate in CW.

Because right now, I have no faith that this game will ever be fun again. Some hope, but zero faith.

Apologies if I have missed this somehwere, but is this to say that there will be no A La Carte option for the Mad Dog and its invasion variant down the line? I say this as someone who has been anxiously awaiting this mech since beta but doesn't have the financial resources to get two clan packs. :P

I love how you say "money grubbing BS" as if this isn't a business and they don't need money.

they put the most populair mech in the history of battletech behind a 210 dollar paywall. and now they put the second most populair clan mech behind a 360 dollar paywall sorry but thats taking advantage of your customers no matter how you look at it. I have to buy 330 dollars worth of mechs i dont want to get the one I do want (not counting the timberwolf)

So, why the mixing of Inner Sphere and Clan mech names? I thought they were all listed as either IS naming or Clan naming for the packages?
