I have never played a mech warrior game in my life. I can vaguely remember my older cousin playing mw 4, I think, and that's about the only expirence I've had with the game. I am a complete noob at this game and no nothing about anything at all. I spent $120 on this free to play game because I have been longing for a good mech combat game since the chrome hounds servers went down. I stumbled across this game and absolutely fell in love with it. This game seems like the game we have all been waiting for and I can't wait to start playing it. I hope this game is epic in every way and exceeds our expectations because $120 is a lot of money to flush down the toilet.

I had to drop the $120 as well... only to find out that I need about $500 to make my rig meet recomended specs... I have held onto XP Pro until now... this is the first thing that has not been XP compatible that I know of (that is of any interest to me)

I have not played much Mech Warrior games too but here I am. I only vaguely remember MW4 Vengeance which I played in a friend's house. I am trying to get it installed myself at the time of this writing for the second time (first time failed). I am a mech fan, and MW seem to be worthy... Don't get me wrong, I love customization the most (I love armored core too!) and I remembered in MW4 you can modify a lot from your mech.

...thing is I am blind with the in game story and also which mech should I take for my founders (I have not bought one yet but would love to) I will probably go merc.

I must admit, $120 seems like little to me for an online game. Heck, I still pay $15 a month for a flight sim game that I haven't played for a couple months... Simply because I feel that I am part of that community and occaisionally get an urge to play it.

Every one of us took a gamble, but the video's look better than any of the old MW games and this game has been in developement for a long time and the Cryengine is a great platform. It should be amazing.

Dear MWO developers;

I have, at this very moment, $120 in my bank account that I want to give to you. There's also the potential that I'll give you more money above and beyond that initial purpose. I'm in my 30s with considerably more disposable income than when I was young. There is money to be had from me and I want to give it you.

If you'll release more videos. You see, I need more information to justify the purchase. Not a lot, a few minutes beyond the existing light/medium/heavy/assault introductions that already exist. Maybe a single match, just to show me what I'm getting into.

Do that and I will give you money hand over fist.

Cheers!

I didn't mind dropping $60 on it, because that's little more than the price of a new PC game anymore, and every game I'm psyched about is potentially worth that.

If it was not for a few specific reasons for me getting the founder pack, I would be posting exactly what you are now.

I like...

Also please give us beta access with founders pack purchases. I'll be happy to hand over my goat, my pair of used nike shoes, an electic razor, and of course the kitchen sink along with that 80 bucks or 120 even. :)

edit: before anyone flames me, I want beta access just because to see what my latency will be. I'm not from the US/CAN btw.

Well according to the Official Developer Update the minimum requirements lists XP SP3.

I rarely buy games anymore, gamefly everything for consoles. The last PC game I spent any money on was Witcher 2, damn good game, worth every penny. I have a great feeling about WMO and there has not been an actual Mechwarrior game in so long I think it's worth the gamble for me.

It depends on your budget but if you like MechWarrior and can afford it, it is a worthy investement.

Bout to drop the money on it myself, but I do agree that I wish they would release a lot more videos since there is a deadline on the founders package.
