So far it has been proven that it was IGP holding MWO back.
Thaaaaat's a little simplistic.
Ever since IGP left the stage, we've been seeing interesting developments...a sudden burst of low-level features, another step up in communication from the devs, a return to map production...and yes, a few things have been laid at IGP's feet. Most of that stuff had been long suspected by anyone who had been paying attention. But there's plenty of people who are still angry and a few things that are difficult to pin on anyone but PGI.
We'll probably find out more as time goes on. We could get another random, back-channel info dump in a few months (a la the Karl Berg Revelations) that goes into more detail. Part of me hopes not, just wants to move on.
Whatever the case is, I think there's room for real optimism for Community Warfare. Remember the old promises of 90 days back in Closed Beta and early 2013? None of the foundation for CW that exists now, existed then. Nor did any evidence of accelerated development. We're on different grounds than we were before, and that's why I'm optimistic. But I don't blame people for wanting to see it first before they open their wallets. That's their prerogative.
Of course, the people who have blatantly admitted that they're only here to try and "burn" PGI, I don't give two hoots about their prerogative. They need to just leave.
