I have decided to turn the Match Maker to Clan vs IS matching for a few hours this afternoon/evening. I think it is time that we collect some new data on the current state of balance between the two technologies.

We will of course be keeping player skill and other factors in mind when looking at the data, while compariing it to the previous IS vs Clan tests.

When: 3:00 PM PDT and will last for an estimated 3 hours depending on results and the quality of play.

Expected Behaviour: Players should expect to experience Clan vs IS matches or when necessary the MM will release valve IS vs IS or Clan vs Clan matches.

I may also consider creating a test window tomorrow during our peak European times.

Update: Solo Queue only

Update 2: changed the duration to 3 hours to restore more equality of play.

i would assume so.. unless there are enough people in group Q to match up all IS vs all Clan, i guess it could be possible..

Russ, how about sharing a sample of data collected with Kiiyor? Just give him a random portion of the data so this guy doesn't have to basically do the same thing but going through hundreds of EOM screens?

I'm not sure I like how wide the Elo range is going...4 Champs, 10 people under 200 in an IS vs IS match...

It's not really funny, but at least we gave them a good beating before they shredded us.
Maybe if our Atlas had done more than 82 damage, we could have turned the tide, but alas...

oh 12 v 12 Clan vs IS..... well you can guess how it will *likely* go...

That said, maybe there is some other modifications to MM going that we don't know about and they want to see what results it produces?

Have to take a close look at the screenshots to see what 3/3/3/3 or team tonnages look like.

3:2 Wins for Clan. But 1 Match very close and all four other matches comlete stampedes. Testing continues. but IS is doing well - from time to time.
