What is even the point of these? They do nothing but take up window space which I could use to see things.

i think it's supposed to look like handles or releases to open the glass to get in and out of the mech. Not that it matters.

Yeah I got to agree, every time I enter my Nova I shake my head at the suction cups and honestly that is what the look like to me too. They sure don't look like latches, especially since they don't connect with the frame anywhere.

aesthetically, i like them. very 50's sci-fi look to them ...functionally, they don't really get in the way that much, you should be turning alot more if they actually obstruct something.
