This is incorrect. MASC does have weight.

may need melee in before the kodiak ... just saying ... I mean it has to use them claws for something. ( I dont care if they say they are only for aesthetic on sarna )

clanners dont melee. the claws give no combat use

I stand corrected! (been a long time since I built mechs with full 3050 rules (IE, not MWO) that wasn't 3025.

The claws are there for intimidation/"cool factor". The Clans hate melee; they value marksmanship. The Kodiak does not melee - Clan mechs do not melee. Inner Sphere mechs sometimes melee.

What's stopping PGI from putting the Kodiak and other second-line mechs in the game is the fact that they are battlemechs, not omnimechs. They can't use omnipods. This would basically make them the same as Inner Sphere mechs except using Clan weapons, which is exactly what PGI said that they didn't want. There's always a happy middle: just make it impossible to swap out the engine (so you'd be stuck using your XL 400), but grant them the ability to switch out Endo/FF and use dynamic structure slots.

The technical reason are (I believe he said) that above 150 they start having more network issues... So the simple solution would be to limit MASC to 150 and then add a buff to acceleration. So MASC is only an excuse and not a technical reason why these mechs can't be added to the game.

Clan Wolf has by highest % (L to R) in each weight class:

Assault: Gargoyle/DW/Warhawk

Heavy: TW/MadDog/Hellbie

Medium: IceFerret/SCR/Pouncer

Light: Adder/Kitfox/MistLynx

Considering that ALL clans ran mostly a varying mixture of ALL those mechs, I do not see where they are getting shafted...?

However, the Nova is not a mech that is even a top 3 typical encounter from Clan Wolf...not sure where you got that idea...? More likely to see a Stormcrow than a Nova.

I don't care what rules it breaks or what precidents it sets, I want a Kodiak. I don't even really like assault mechs, but I really, REALLY want a Kodiak. You can even just give me the stock loadouts and not let me change anything...I'll still be happy. Do...friggin'...want.

You can have your Kodiak give me a Annihilator...and an Imp...and a Grand Titan....how about a Kraken....Penetrator would be nice.....Enforcer maybe...
