you still get two other freebies.
Sorry, to me it just starting to smack of entitlement or greed. "How dare you let someone else have toys I don't get free!"
Not trying to paint you that way, just saying what i usually here when I see these posts. Seriously. PGI didn't have to offer us anything. They did. Now to complain because choices we made in the past don't entitle us to everything, just seems a bit petty.

Personally, anyone who spends over $200 on this game, should get something nice from PGI for it. After all, it's just digital content to them. They don't have limited quantities of product. They should thank everyone who paid so much for their game instead of going out an buying something or worth.

It required having a certain amount of faith in the game to throw down that coin.
Why shouldn't we be rewarded for having that faith?

I really appreciate PGI's gifts as they are and have no complaints. PGI can never keep everyone happy so just be happy with the free content you have been given.
Cheers!

Or you could wait until said mechs are available for purchase using non-monetized currency.

Look at guys like Redshift. Fits one of my examples almost perfectly. Bought $120 PRE-ORDER pack (1.5x the cost of overlord) and also bought MC so that he spent around $200 but you're telling me that he shouldn't get the same reward as somebody that spent half that? Just because thats the way it is?

Yeah
basically
While his support was awesome, at the same time there were people paying more at the same time
When the Phoenix pack came everybody present had the exact same opportunity to throw down 80
Those who did are now being rewarded.
The principle I'm talking about is that when those who were asked to pay for top tier packages did so when presented the opportunity should be rewarded.

^ this
this is pretty much how every F2P game like this I've ever played does it. They throw free and paid players a bone and the people who bought big packs tend to get a little more.

My Dad always said that if you give someone an inch they will not be satisfied till they get a mile.
I think what PGI is doing is awesome and more than fair.
You know it could be still going down the same old, same old path!

They already keep track of all pack and MC purchases and you can look at them right on this site. MC purchases just click on MC at the top and packs come with the tags that you can turn off and on and of course are already tracked for these rewards.

I did preorder. but my $120 preorder is not valued the same as other $120 preorders. Very asymmetrical.
Man, I get you. Someone who got the clan pack at $210 to get the TB does not qualify vs a full Phoenix pack at $80.
People in that category got the smaller end of a positive thing. It's still positive. I can't think of a simple solution without changing the concept of this reward tier. Generic money paid, in my opinion, is not the solution.
Even if you do "anyone spending more than XX on a pack" will leave others behind.
I don't get all the rewards now but I still get stuff, I'm happy

I can understand where the op is coming from though. If you've spent $250 on hero mechs and premium time over the past 2 years but just didn't buy a mech pack, it can sting a bit. Maybe add in a premium time bonus for those that didn't get a mech? Possibly a free camo and color(s)?

I haven't seen anyone say otherwise, players are just expressing their opinions. It WOULD be nice for those that have spent money on something other than packs to get some cool stuff as well. It also never hurts to ask or bring it up.

If you bought MC which most of us have at some point so now lets throw in the Custom CN9-AH. Custom paint, 30% C- bonus. Ok not too shabby. I've heard good things about the CN9-AH before they removed it.
Uh oh. Didn't buy a top tier Founders, Phoenix, Clan Wave1. Let's see what I miss out on. Hmmm King Crab custom varient 30% c-bill bonus, unique geometry (Clan wave 1 owners will understand when I say.....whoopie /sarcasm), which becomes available on the same day as the MC variant only minus the custom paint and c-bill bonus. Not to bad especially since if you didn't have the cash or chose not to spend that much you can now get it for less money then having to run out and dump a ton of money for a bunch of mechs you don't want
Honestly are you really missing out on that much? Not trying to be offensive, but if you sit back and really look at it are you really missing out?
What the original intent of the thread was is mute to the point that people are making this sound like King Crab is only going to be available to Top Tier players period or I invested X amount of dollars and this guy over here is getting this, unfair!
Now if this was like the Mad Dog situation that's understandable. Even I wasn't too keen on how that was run.

there's also whispers about bringing the phoenix pack back as well (and possibly founders) for anyone who missed them and want the rewards for them.

I miss out on a 30% C-Bill Crab till they release a Hero - well i won´t i rather buy Clan mechs which will collect dust but i hope they reevaluate their definition of loyal customer.
Griggio, on 18 September 2014 - 04:11 PM, said:
Why is that understandable ?
Because you care about the Mad Dog.
I don´t.
When i played Tabletop there were no Clans.
I am a 3025 guy.
