This will be very brief. One of the more interesting and period-consistent configurations for the mad dog I remember being the C, carrying twin gauss rifles. I had assumed that this configuration would be part of the release, in some measure due to it being another iconic version of our beloved mech and one offering more variety in playstyle. Mad dog is famous for its versatility, and we are getting the A config with 1 ballistic hardpoint. I am guessing it wouldn't be too difficult to add in a separate C-config arm with another ballistic and whatever necessary quirks to properly balance a double gauss-carrying Mad Dog.

What are the community's thoughts on this sort of thing?

Just realized the anorexic dog was missing missile launchers in exchange for Gauss Rifles (after a bit of looking before reading post).

That's a sad looking dog.
And a damn crime. Mad Dog cruelty!

I agree about the twin Gauss Vulture, its a viable and a very notorious one, also the Timber was supposed to be able to do the same, a Gauss per arm but we didnt get the same exact config even tho it can mount twin Gauss.

They should do it.

It would be wonderful. And not really OP in anyway, given the mech's low weight of 60 tons, and the ability to have at most 4t of ammo without removing armor.

It looks to be possible in terms of available slots on the A-arm, which comes with 6..
You're right about the 4 tonnes though, where it would need about 6-8 to be worthwhile..
