An alternative is to have a second king crab hero and put it on sale.

Clearly logic has failed at this point, would you not agree?

Lets put it this way you already have the bonus so you don't have to worry about it. This is just for the Inner Sphere mechs in a pack that you don't have to buy but if your an Inner Sphere and you want them then by all means.

oh I hear you, this just needs to stay within reason and not a list of wishes and wants that do not fit at this point in the game

Russ keep it simple with the King Crab issue.
Make it a Special edition 1st Aniversary Mech, gift it to eligible people, and also offer the chance to buy it as a Hero mech for a limited time just for those who want the C-bill bonus and the special paintjob.

As for the IS Package, i'd suggest:
Light: Stinger or Wasp
Medium: Phoenix Hawk
Heavy: Warhammer or Marauder
Assault: Marauder II or Longbow
Ok, just kidding, although that would sell as hell, it's not worth the risk.
So a more serious suggestion:
If the Heavy Mech is either the Champion or the Lancelot, preferably the second one, i'll buy at least the heavy tier, unless the light is the UrbanMech, in which case i will not buy anything.

Mixed AC/energy if they're going to be Clan-buster sort of mechs - that's what the IS does best.
A Black Knight would be a Quickdraw with no SRMs or JJs.

Concept wise - Yes
Russ, to be honest, I am going to be buying the wave 2 for my bonus Mad Dog, I would need to see a list of possible chassis for the IS pack to see if I would buy, concept art even. I have spent a lot on faith, it would be cool if I could see a general concept of wht yo might have before I say hell yeah. I will not lie, I am probably going to buy the new IS pack regaurdless, but throw peeps like me a bone, I have seven kiddos, and finding ways to funnel money to my enjoyment is hard to do without upsetting the balance of life here lmao. A Zeus would be nice though.

Apparently it was developed right before the Star League left the Inner Sphere. So while it was developed as an IS mech, I think they only exist in the possession of the Clans.
Skipping a long story but the Clans send the Wolf's Dragoons to the IS, the Wolf's Dragoons have Annihilators, and eventually they help out the IS so it seems reasonable to let the IS have them.
And honestly, we were lucky enough to actually get the Dire Wolf. I think you can add anything you want to the game with that thing in.

And for the largest tier IS ala carte its the King Crab as bonus ?
While I would appreciate a new IS Mech pack in genarally I simply can't and won't afford your prices guys.
And I realy would like to get some new Mechs and stuff.
But its just realy realy not enough bang for bucks.....sorry.
And I'm very very sure you would sell 3 times as much if you would cutt your prices by half.
Normaly you can get a fully fleshed out game for around 50€ ( ~65$ ) and that would be a premium+ title with DLCs !
For example StarCraft II was 39,99$ at release ( ultra large fanbase and hyped title ), Titanfall 34,85$ at release (to mention an other mecha game).
I know you compare Piranha and MWO to Wargaming and their World of XYZ...
But with all due respect .... its like comparing collegue boys boxing league with Vitali Klitschko !
Don't compare yourself with highgrade titles it hurts you MUCH.
ATM I don't even dare to admit I'm still playing MWO to my friends because they all tried it on my behalf but....
I realy realy like what you are trying to do with the Customer Appreciation Program and all the goodies.
Thats simply great !
Nobody has seen that comming awsome stuff.

Why would anyone feel better about themselves for not sharing mechs, to support the future of the game and create further revenue? It would basically let PGI sell "old rope".
I think Russ made a good compromise in this case.
There's so many people in this thread who just want to cling on to their mechs for dear life. "Nooo, don't let anyone else have the King Crab!"
I am disappoint.

I would suggest making it a Macross Unseen pack , but I'm sure any such suggestion might cause Russ to send out Canadian Ninjas to assassinate me. I'm fairly certain he's completely fed up with people begging for those mechs when we all know it's not likely to happen in the forseeable future due to the particular situation with Harmony Gold.
How about this lineup?
Assault: Charger.
The original Fast Assault mech, and the mech which was later redesigned to become the Hatamoto.
Heavy: Grasshopper. 70 ton mobile jumper and one of the original 3025 TR mechs.
Medium: Chameleon.
Is it just me or does it strike anyone else as wrong that the mech used for generations to train mechwarriors in is not available to us? The Chameleon has canonically been the premiere training battlemech for medium and light mechwarriors since 2510. It's also one of the most common mechs in the Inner Sphere.
Light: Panther.
The original Small Mech with a Big Gun.
Also: Shame on those of my fellow founders and Phoenix owners who feel they have to preserve their "special snowflakeness" by speaking against a reissue of the founders or phoenix packs for those who didn't have a chance to get them (for whatever reason).

I am definately glad to see that the team read everything and took it all into consideration and came up with a reasonable option.
I have no allegiance to Clan or IS, I like the mechs I like regardless of faction.
