Unless the announcement of such a pack came on the heels or came with the reveal of real evidence of CW progress. I'm talking a weekend test of the systems that are finished or at least screenshots or video of you guys using it internally.
I will not spend money until I feel safe from being fooled by another 90 day promise.
That said there are many good ideas for IS packs in this thread.
Clan Buster is super timing appropriate and could be cool mechs. You could probably even include the later designs because if you were going to do a pack of four new chassis its going to take some serious time to get right.
Similarly a 2750 / Lostech / SLDF / Comstar type pack could be quite cool:
I've always wanted to see FD's take on old designs like the Thug or Guillotine.
But lets get down to some realistic things that could actually happen this year that I would for sure be tempted to buy if I thought I was getting ready for CW which was actually on the horizon. Again something I do not believe because we've seen nothing but napkin level plans and empty promises so far and we've had those all before.
I really like what you did with the faction connection on the Clan Pack 2. We could combine the need for an IS pack with the short timeframe and that idea to get a pack that might be worth it for people?
Example:
The following FWL variants are currently missing from existing MWO chassis:
Spider 7M
Hunchback 5M
Wolverine 6M and 7M
Quickdraw 5M
Thunderbolt 7M
Look how many "new" mechs that is. No hard work and probably not something you would expect people to jump to buy. But if you were to take some of those and bundle them up nice with faction color unlocks, LP bonuses, and other bric-a-brac...
You could have something there without the need to rush new chassis on a time table you were not expecting.
Point being you could probably put together something buyable using the existing IS chassis stable if you take the time to study the lore and study the factions and make something that really feels like declaring allegiance to one of the houses.
Its a lot more website work but a lot less modeling under a deadline work.
Will be watching what you come up with but I'm still highly skeptical of CW until I see something more than abstract design docs.

In MWO it would be 1.5 + 3 (cockpit) + 1 (gyro) - 8 (external heatsinks) = -2.5 tons in MWO under the current rules.
Well, give it a 100 engine (with mech quirk all 10 in engine, no upgrade) Other possible quirks it can be done, and alot of us want it!

The mech itself wouldn't in the negative, you still have internal structure that weighs 3 tons. PGI could fix the engine and the heat sinks - yuck. Or increase the engine weight and make the first 3 heat sinks cost nothing on terms of weight.
I know the first thing I would do to the stock variant, remove that 11th heat sink Lol

To clarify on the date portion - I had only meant the ability to order the new IS pack to meet the December 16th deadline for the King Crab reward, not necessarily the delivery of the mechs in the package.
Oh I see, yes of course. Before Dec 16th.

If there's a new IS package, I would really love to see the "Crab" in it. (The standard 50 ton crab that is).
Guarantee people will absolutely crave Urban Mech no matter how little sense that makes due to how MWO was made and balanced^1.
We could use more 20 to 30 ton mechs, certainly wouldn't mind more 60, 65, 70 and 75 ton mechs for the IS, could use more 90, 95 ton mechs as well (just one isn't much at all).
We're getting close to Bushwhacker era, too.

This idea has merit.
Pick the mechs, get started. If they drop in Jan/Feb, that's fine. You order them early though and you get the King Crab - obviously you can still order the package to Feb and get your King Crab late, but it opens the $80 option early.
Yes basically this minus unconfirmed drop date

You could even include the King Crab as one of the mechs
Maybe flea for the light and a couple of unannounced mechs for the medium and heavy.

Hero FLEA
(3) Standard FLEA Chassis
AND
Hero KING CRAB
(3) Standard CRAB Chassis
*Plus the "Reward" Variant King Crab (if that applies, unless the reward is just the 3 standard etc..)
$80.00 For all the above.... SOLD!! > and I don't even pilot light mechs that well.
Option #2
(4) NEW HERO Inner Sphere Chassis
I Prefer that they be a ballistic Banshee, JAGER, Stalker, and whatever other one; as those mechs still seem somewhat viable and competitive to the Clan Mechs.
Call it the "Over Armored Hero Pack" or something like that with stats to match, more armor points available with a slight speed cap penalty...??
and MOST IMPORTANTLY>>
PEWTER/CHROME/SILVER Metallic PAINT Specific to those mechs only...hell, maybe even the reward version Crab..begginggggggg..
SOLD SOLD SOLD $80.00
Just some reskin/pattern work etc.... totally doable for XMAS time
I actually would purchase a Metallic Silver "Paint Package" for $80 USD lol if that would qualify.
I probably will buy the new 120USD Clan package anyways for the crab, or if theres another option still alaCarte the gargoyle and Loki.

Concept wise - Yes
Then you actually have a pretty position from which to make a new Inner Sphere Package.
You sold us 8 Clan 'Mechs that at the time were barely more than concepts, and took 6 months to get those to us.
Granted, this took a considerable amount of work from your team to pull off.
A nifty way to handle it may be to put up 4 'mechs from your concept list that were slated for release after Clan Wave 2, and set the delivery date for whatever timeframe you were intending to release them.
Use the concept art to show what people are buying into, slap the $80 price tag on it and call it a day.

lol - I can take another stab at HG but probably not
Are you implying you actually DID try to get us Unseens from HG? I'm fairly sure the community at large would tackle hug you if that were the case.

Would have to change something about it. Would you rather it have less stock armor, or only one stock jump jet vs two, all the while being without the 11th heatsink it had in some variants?
Ok. You want a TRO complete Urbie, no ifs, ands or buts?
Here. 1.5x the level of armor it had stock to get it to work vs 2x like all other mechs. Enjoy.
Sigh. Russ, just give these guys their walking turret so they can quit asking about it. It's really getting tiresome.
