I would purchase another IS pack, a 2 light, heavy, assault would be nice. This game really needs more lights, and I really want my flea....

I would totally buy another rerelease of the Phoenix package. I totally missed out on that one.

Why not? We have no shortage of mechs, but this is mechwarrior. We want all the mechs. I would only ask that you leave the sale open for an extended period, as some folks, even those with money to burn, don't want to have a short window in which to buy another 240$ worth of mechs!

Just keep the rest on track and appease the masses. Selling more mechs can't possibly hurt the game if you deliver the rest of the content...

P.S. GIVE US ZEUS!

I think there is only 1 variant you could use. The rest aren't out until later.

lol - I can take another stab at HG but probably not :(

So... first, why would HG need to be even contacted? The stolen artwork was the issue; not the name. Name the mech a marauder, give it the hardpoints (2x Energy Each arm, Ballistic / Energy in side torsos on high mounts.) Then make wholly new artwork inspired by the "spirit" of the original - pod-ish body and the weapon pod arms like the Cataphract. Hell, Cataphract basically *is* a redone Marauder anywho. Same for the Warhammer - just totally redo the artwork and give it the name / hardpoints / quirks.

Just a thought - I'm not overly worried but would love to see it.

As to the IS pack overall...

If you guys continue on the path you have recently set upon; if we continue to see this higher level of interaction and see some of those persnickety issues addressed...

We know you can't make us all happy or address every single one of our concerns.

But if I / we continue to see this improvement, and see at least some manner of addressing some of the major concerns brought up over the years...

If we see a somewhat workable CW as being rolled out come December or shortly thereafter...

I think a clanbuster IS pack would sell nicely, and I would buy one. With the caveat that yes, we do still expect more than mechs or free stuff or whatever.

Thanks!

Here's a thought: One pack, four hero mechs from our current pool of mechs. A locust, a shadowhawk, a wolverine and a thunderbolt. Quick and easy, would be a good deal at $80.

A new package for IS loyalists is not a bad idea, although I personally am pretty tapped out on finances and will not be able to participate (had to buy a new deskstop PC, and now it's Christmas shopping season now for my wife and two kids)

I don't feel that changing the criteria for the King Crab is a problem, anyone who previously qualified for the KC will still get one and adding Daishi/Adder/Timberwolf tier package customers will simply mean more happy customers being rewarded for making the same contribution.

I'm currently an F2P IS player who wasn't around when Founder's/Phoenix packages were being offered. I would seriously consider buying an IS package that granted me the Crab, whether the mechs in the pack were new or existing. I'm trying to build up a good IS stable in preparation for CW, and a pack that included a mech of each weight class with a 30% C-Bill bonus seems like the perfect way to do that.

If the new pack included the Mauler, well, good-bye money :).

Put in some IS unseen Mechs like the Marauder and I'm sure you'll have more money than you know what to do with.

Chiming in with support of a new package (that, based on timing, would need to include the King Crab as a bonus part of the package)... especially if it includes the Black Knight.

I'm already getting crabs...but, I'd throw more money at you guys for a Black Knight.

A few thoughts:

Do you guys have any easy way to see how much an account has spent on the game? I bought the elite founders package (60$) and easily at least 20$ in MC - perhpas the King Crab could be a reward for people who've gotten a top tier package OR have contributed over a certain amount (80-100$) to the game? That way you're not excluding people who may have spent quite a bit on the game but didn't buy a top tier package?

I'm sure there's some people who've bought a ton of hero mechs or ala-carte packages who'd feel a bit sore that they've spent as much as someone has on a bundle but are only getting the reward for simply spending money.

I did participate in the founders program but I would still buy a new IS package and if you make it this package I'll even pay the $240 top end price :D

I know, my Axman dream may never come to light, how about the other 3 PLUS an Axman statue for my cockpit?

Oh god dammit, now I'm watching this ancient show on Youtube. Curse you!

Oh, addendum:

I'd say leave the King Crab out of the pre-order package, if possible, since it will basically be the IS "bonus mech" like the Mad Dog is for the clans.

Dunno another good Clanbuster Assault Mech to recommend, but I know I want to see my Mauler and Annihilator at some point. Even if it means we end up seeing the dreaded Gausszilla.

Regardless of whether you offer a new IS pack, it would go a long way to help by dropping the $240 Clan Wave 1 requirement to $120.

This would bring it inline with the other packs spending requirements, as you said in your OP. As it stands, the feeling with those I have personally spoken with is that people who spent money on the first clan pack feel that they have been half-valued as a customer, compared to those who bough a top founder/phoenix or new clan pack, in terms of the amount of money they have spent vs King Crab thank-you.

For myself, I put down $60 on Founders Elite, and $120 on a Daishi pack, totaling $180, but won't currently get a King Crab. Had I bought an Overlord pack instead of the Daishi, PGI would have gotten $40 less from me, but would have given me a King Crab as a thank you. That seems backwards to me.

As a customer appreciation gift, the reward should require the same rough contribution and not have one at 2x (vs founders) or 3x (vs phoenix) price requirement. I think that would go a long way to help smooth ruffled feathers, and re-embrace the current spirit of giving in PGI.

Well I will drop my Idea that I got here and if it's utterly no use or a bad Idea, I'm sorry in advance. Perhaps anyone did already post a similar Idea so again I'm sorry for again bring it up.

My Idea is here why not bring a Comstar/ComGuards Bundle out?
- That pack would contain an assortment of Battlemechs form the four classes (one each or what you like)
- Those are existing Inner Sphere Battlemech's or if you like some new toy's get some new chassis.
- Those Chassis would have the Hero Bonus or champions Bonus system on them
- Those Chassis would have a Special Comstar/ ComGuards Paint/Camo

I would Say that could be a nice Pack.
And why Comstar/ComGuards you would say, well we need someone that is goanna step in at sometime and it would be cool to see them on the Battlefield leading the charge in their Special Paint/Camo, Defending their HPG's. ;)
And remember it's before the creation of the Word of Blake, so there would still be both of the faction possible.
But hey it's only an Idea. I don't know if in the end the Dev's are gonna take the roles of the Comstar/ComGuards.

Have you considered Guardians who bought the Saber package?

They spent more than Overlord, $90 vs $80.

Clearly someone will be upset regardless of what you do... Therefore the only logical step is to create a pack that pi553s everyone off equally. To wit I suggest: The Platinum Phoenix Clanbuster Pack!

Includes:

Jenner - with founders geometry
Griffin
Warhammer
Marauder
Atlas - founders style

Prime config plus two variants of each
All Prime Mechs have special shiny Platinum skinned armor
All prime variants get 35% c-bill bonus
All mechs receive special "salvage ready" hard points that allow the mounting of clan weaponry
Prime variants come packed with salvaged clantech

Cost: $600

That should cheese off Founders, Phoenixers, Clanners, P2Wers, and Harmony Gold simultaneously while ensuring buckets of cash are thrown at PGI to help pay the legal bills when HG comes knocking...

Note: this is indeed sarcasm... I think the current thoughts are good ones and I only wished to exercise my snark muscle. A new IS pack would be grand.

If PGI can get the resources together in a reasonable amount of time to design and code new IS chassis, I'm all up for it.
