(Remember, no pilot naming)

We've all had that game, where we chewed out someone that perhaps didn't deserve it; maybe they were new and it really wasn't very nice to call them names. On the other hand maybe they did deserve but honestly it probably still wasn't proper to do.

Share with us now your rage stories whether it be that jenner who tried to snipe and 1000 meters with medium lasers while you screamed at him, or the guys hwho kept shooting the lrms at 5 meters while you lobbed curse words, or the guy who couldn't turn very well but really shouldn't have been called a "dumb noob".

I will share one of my stories with you and it even happened today:

After being abandoned on the front with my direwolf 3 games in a row, one of which where half the team hid and remained unscathed while we the assaults were chewed into bits I had lost it.

After being blown to bits I saw a Jaegar nearly run out of bounds and start sniping with gauss rifles at 1,300 meters out. I started to yell some rather unpleasant things but did later apologize as it wasn't very nice. Regardless I was still quite angry thinking about how much damage we lost at the front.

There is also one player who I occasionally see (who shall remain nameless) who ever single game tries to capture regardless of what is going on. On this pilot I do unleash rage, but honestly he deserves it as he frequently yells back and threatens to report me for telling people his coordinates after we are all dead and he is hiding in a corner completely undamaged shutdown to protect his K/D ratio.

After everyone is dead, he has done nothing while remaining unwounded and shuts down undamaged in a corner yes you do. And he does this every game.

It is cowardly to do that and improper and if you want to report me for that feel free. It is also incredibly disrespectful to the other team who has won a fair victory.

I have no patience for those that sacrifice the team to protect their K/D ratio.

There was this one guy in a Dire Wolf who just strolled to the front instead of coordinating with the rest of us. I assume he thought we all should follow him just because of his tonnage!

;)

That is very bad to see. I had an atlas do that a few games ago on our team. Charged out to where no one could support him and was blown to bits.

It was interesting to watch though as he got lit up like the 4th of july, really colorful.

actually, btw, it's against the rules to not participate. It's considered greifing.
As was told to me though, the proper route is to report them, as even giving away afk positions is again the rules as well.

Code of Conduct

Joining a game is like going into a contract with 23 other people, you will abide by the rules of the game. Eleven of the people in the game are your team and for 15 minuets, these are your family ... your clan ... your brothers and sisters ... The other twelve people are your enemy .... You can respect them, but they are enemy .... The lowest form of battle field behaviour is to turn traitor ... no matter how bored or inconvenienced you are by your team mates, turning off their engines or what ever they decide is the best policy at the time .. or even if they are not there ... Man up .... show some dignity !

turning off your engine in an out of the way place to not participate IS turning traitor

I have asked many players who cant hit the broadside of a barn. Do you use a trackpad?

It's my version of saying SHOOT THE ENEMY NOT THE THINGS AROUND HIM!

I get angry sometimes...

Just now on Caustic, instead of grouping up and rotating to the right as people usually do, half the team went after a squirrel and died ignominiously. **** em.

We have one guy who's 9 and 10yo play. I remember a year back when they would play and not do so well and the patience I had for them, knowing their age and it was his sons. Well now these little guys are killing it.. 5,6,7 kills 1k+ damage like lil thugs. One got the 10 kill achiev a couple weeks ago in a gauss cat (op clanners?) Proud as hell of them (and glad I didn't give them grief)

Now I see people and wonder if it is some guy sitting there walking his kid through it. And I in turn try to be encouraging to them, and try to express in comms not to be nasty to them.

*I am glad you posted this.. Puts me back in check a little towards other players

I can think of 3 noob players types..........Assault pilots..........gots lrms, has lock, clear skies perfect path....doesn't fire.......got everything grouped.....in like 2 groups.......nothing chained just all stupid shoot......fighting lights........trying to out turn it walking FOWARDS.......ZOOMED IN with a fricken advanced zoom turn fighting a light..........then he's shooting his arms one way torso the other......

Non-twitch missle boat man.......fires missles out of range which is valid if you want to spookem with a lrm 5 but not two 20s. He locks......beep......he fires......and immediately looks away and breaks lock.

Nova-noob. No chain fire....he just has all his left and right lasers group........he shoot and shoots shutdown, gets up shoot shuts down......gets up shoots ....shuts down  STOP SHUTTING DOWN MF!

In the rules if you have already engaged its a valid tactic. Many times in a solo match I watch my team get spanked and know the end result so i will move into an ambush position. I may not win but with some luck I may get one or more. Too many times I have employed this tactic to have some yahoo give out my position. Your dead so stfu or buy another mech so you can quit and move on.

You not the arbiter of MWO so stop with the bull. If you feel its wrong email support you clowns.

Whats improper, and I believe against the game rules are reporting anyone who isn't zero ping or disconnected.
Had you carried harder, that loser wouldn't be sitting alone in the corner in the first place!

Yesterday I had a guy in what looked like a stock spider on my team, he was the last one alive. Naturally he hid, but was eventually found and killed by two Timberwolves. Afterwards he claimed he did the most damage out of the entire team, so I check his score and I see...

15 damage and 2 points. :D

My lancemates and me had a good laugh over that. Even though our team got rolled and he was the last survivor he was the only one that didn't even make triple digits in damage, and in fact barely made double digits, you have to be in denial to be bragging at that point.

I read about someone letting their kids play. Yup...ultimately for this game to survive, it will need legions of 13-14 year olds......ugh.....same age as my kid.......learning. And if their experience is what the OP or a couple of others support...probably stick with minecraft, terraria etc
Parents will drop money for their kids fun-

so...one thing I am pleased to see is less "GG" idiocy on rollstomps in general chat, and lots more "nice work team" in blue.

I was so close to quitting, and solo playing has revitalized it. Seeing the whinging and QQ'ing in chat.., calling out last mans position......
pity we can't filter stupid- too much good comes in on chat to just block it completely.
