At about 6:45 Sydney, Ausralia time zone I participated in an Alipe Peaks skirmish match. My team lost. I fired on what I think was a Kit Fox standing amongst my team on a ridge. The Kit Fox pilot and myself then dropped behind our lines and began a circle fight. I destroyed the Kit Fox. Agter the match I was accused pf being a traitor. I saw no blue or red indicator and assumed the Kit Fox was an extremely sneaky enemy.
If I in fact teamkilled I apoligize to the pilot. Such behavior disgusts me. Is there a glitch in game I should know about? Or did I just make a dreadful error?

About 1.5 weeks ago I killed a friendly Atlas because of this glitch and 2 days later an Atlas did the same to me because of the same issue.

Karma - the great balancer!

Cheers!

IFF is a problem, but so is your team mates walking in to your line of fire.

had it once too. A blackjack approached me, he had no dorito so I assumed he had ECM company and started to shoot him, after some shots I realized he knew I was shooting him but didnt shoot back, so I stopped shooting and then finally the blue dorito appeared....

I was like Oo sooo sorry man...

Same here.

Saw a jager without a blue dorito, decided to shoot at it

However, I stopped when I saw the red dorito mechs shooting at it.

Then I waded into the firefight with my assault, shielding him.

We both survived and won the match.

*Didn't told him that I shot him though...*

I spent half a match trying to figure out who was shooting me with SRM's randomly one time. Turns out it was a Highlander on our team,

Also turns out it wasn't an IFF bug, he was just angry I wouldn't be his personal ECM bot.

I TK'd an allied Stormcrow, thinking full well he was the enemy stormcrow I was attacking. I mean, given how this game is so damn dark, every mech looks the exact same, regardless of any camo we have on. Plus, the whole dorito thing is a joke...there isnt any real way to tell who's who. And in the mix of a brawl, mechs almost blend into the terrain, there is no real differentiating targets, allied or enemy...sadly, I walked off thinking I actually got the kill on that Stormcrow, only to find out in the end it was the ally I killed....

Ive also had a rash of having to TK light mechs who accuse me of kill stealing some heavy or assault theyre dancing around and then shooting me in a rage.

Dude I just one shot killed a Dire Whale...the last thing you want to do is shoot me in the leg because I "stole your kill". Stat junkies when stats dont matter at all, are jerks, imho.

It has been a few weeks since I've seen a player claim the targeting bug plague them, but hearing it might still be around is not good.

Considering multiple Gold mech holders can gift their extra Masaraki packs to another players I'd be extra nice to those guys

I'm closing this thread as it is used by some users to justify their rule breaking behavior (posts are removed).

Players violating the griefing rules or the code of conduct can and should be reported to support@mwomercs.com. You can also use the web-form you find under support, though some users reported problems with it recently.

In your report please make sure that the following informations are included:
- Name of the offending player
- Type of offense
- Map played
- Date, time and timezone

Additionally you can provide the following to help the staff in sorting things:
- Names of other players involved (witnesses)
- Screenshots
- Links to videos or other material that might be usefull for this specific case.

Please report any findings of the IFF bug to support, or in tha patch feedback forum, as well.
