even better, will likely have any Hit Boxes issues, and mech quirks sorted by the time you get yours. Have a feeling the CT will draw some fire if past mechs are any indication. But I could be pleasantly surprised here, too.

And then people that bought a top tier pack just for the King Crab will come after you with pitchforks.
In other words, no. Stop asking.

Yeah this is the real kicker. That 30% bonus is really nice to have, so nice that I find I don't often play any of my Clan variants other than the Invasion model. Honestly I think that is the only thing I don't agree with in regards to any of the specials going on right now. There really should be some way for someone who really wants a Mad Dog and only a Mad Dog to get an Invasion model without having to spend $360.
Don't get me wrong, I like the idea behind getting good bonus content if you bought everything but it should be exclusive. What they probably should have done is make it free content for anyone who purchased the $360 pack but also add it in as a 5th tier in the pack for $150 with an Ala Carte option on it at some point. That way, you still have a significant gift (free $30 mech) for people who bought everything plus you have a $150 pack that alot of people would have bought ($30 times how many dozens of those packs that would have been sold just left on the table) just to get the Mad Dog plus you would also get a significant amount of people purchasing it at $55 Ala Carte. (Yet another $55 times dozens and dozens of people who would have bought it Ala Carte left on the table).
Honestly I think PGI needs to get a new marketing guy. The current guy seems to have a "Go Big or Go Home" way of thinking. Unfortunately most of us players can't afford that attitude and this mentality ends up pricing us out of being, not just unwilling, but also UNABLE to open our wallets and give them money.

The whole point of it is that it's a special reward... not so much a 'free' reward, but something special and unique to those that did spend the big bucks. It's not unique otherwise.
And the whole 30% cbill stuff is overrated. Mostly it comes down to "I don't want to wait till December/January".

Even if the scales are off for PGI's versions.
If they did, the Summoner would be a reasonably smaller target (as it's supposed to be shorter than the TW not taller).
And yes, I know this means some big 20 ton mechs. At the same time however, I know PGI's idea of balancing blows. (I'd personally arrange weapons on the 10 second scale and 1x armor/structure with non converging torso weapons; something that might use this as a base; not the same weapon firing speeds but the basic premise, and create a minimum of 12 weapon variants for each weapon off of this base. Each with varying ratios of damage per shot, firing speeds, etc, all tying back to 'all variants deal approximately this much damage in 10 seconds'. The rules also do say that the damage classes were slightly loose, so the ones requiring a seemingly unreasonable number of shots might get a little ahead in terms of DPS compared to other more front loaded versions that fire much more rarely) Their sizes wouldn't matter 'that' much.
Another thing I've noticed is that the endo-steel carrying mechs tend to be much larger than the non-endo steel ones of similar sizes. As if endo steel tends to mean bigger mech. *Rubs chin in thought.* Seriously, look over the ones with endo steel and take note of their size.
Just a thought.

Looks to me like Russ wouldn't mind taking your $360 Bucks either..lol
In the same boat with the Mad Dog, King Crab on the other hand sealed the deal on some big purchase, one way or another.

Nope. It comes down to "This is a special version of my favourite mech" that i want to buy. I've waited for three years. Why would i be bothered about waiting another few months? And if i can't buy my favourite mech why would i buy any other?
