^^^^^^
I will confess, I have nicked someone while foolishly test firing my lasers.
I am certain we all have accidently shot someone at the beginning.
But please for the love of god refrain from testing out your heavy autos and guass rifles.
I was recently in a game where a poor Nova got its left torso blown off by a volley of friendly autos at the beginning of the game and it made me so sad.

I have a dual monitor setup
I often click back to MWO to make it my active window and I accidentally fire
This is the only time it happens to me

Oh, believe me I have accidently hit the alpha key before. xD
I have dual monitors as well and I share your pain.
That is definitely different then when you intentionally fire a volley of AC20s to see the heat.

Is this a thread to boast about having two monitors now? ok.
I have two monitors and a laser projector pointed at my wall so I can game in bed with wireless peripherals and a 12x14 foot laser projection of MWO on my wall.
Look i did it.
But really the clicking in from another monitor thing does hit quite a few friendlies I must admit. Tab out/tab in usually solves this, but why do that when you can fire an AC/20 at your friendly Atlas's back as a nice massage?

LOL, if people are test firing to see the heat....I suppose PGI should make a big neon green letters around the Testing Grounds, along with a massive popup that says..TEST WEAPONS HERE

I happens a lot of time thought that people make a quick change and then jump in a game excited to try it out.
I've done that with lasers and knicked someone and felt like a real douche.
That is very different than when you start playing around with the heavy autos though and start shooting them around. xD
There is nothing more terrifying than a round of those goes right past you within the first 5 seconds of the game.
