I would not compare the Nova to the Okin, there is just no comparison. Like comparing the Summoner to the Timberwolf.

Bishop, I am not sure what you mean by precedent, the variants are in the 3050 TR.

horrible precedent to set, much like unlocking JJs or endo. Not gonna see me get on board with.

Nicer and "balanced" are seldom the same thing.

Kinda like the hardwired AP on the Koshi? Poor thing loses over 10% of its pod space for that piece of trash.

its a scout. For those who scout, AP can still be useful. Also for spotters, and for ones not carrying ECM.

Just because it doesn't fit your conceived playstyle doesn't make it trash. I already have plans for my spotting duties. It will be much more useful than my NARC Jenner for that.

A ton of ammo is considerably more useful than an AP if you don't have streaks equipped.

Jenner would also spot faster, and a Spider could do it faster while also sporting the Magic Jesus Box.

It would be better with that 1 ton removed, or replaced with a MJB.

Someone looked into the source files. Likewise a 3 energy Timby side torso.

I am not the one to ask though. Inside the .PAKs?

GIVE ME NOW. As long as it has no negative quirks.

Spider can't NARC (cept for Hero and it can't ecm). Jenner can't ECM.

Ton of ammo is useful, for a battler. 25 ton mechs rarely make good battlers.

I already have a solid harasser and spotter build planned. Willing to bet the spotter will be a heck of a lot more useful to the team. Even if the thing could carry 1 more ton.

Auto-counter ECM is useful to have for a big boy protector or a scout. Added targeting range lets it scout out further and get more spotting assists, and it STILL can mount more weapons than a commando, and better weapons at that.

yeah, I don't think it will be that great, but the AP is hardly the issue.

At least AP is better then a flamer.

I feel that's arguable.

Half a ton on a 25 ton mech is the difference between an SRM4 or SRM6; a ERSL to a ERML. You can even use the Flamer as a half range, twice as heavy machine gun.

Adder with PPCs in all torso, and Gauss in both arms.
Posted Image

Nova with triple AMS, LBX20 in each arm, 2 UAC5s in each side torso, and of course, an LRM20 in the left torso.
Posted Image

Timber Star with shoulder mounted triple PPCs, and a LBX10 in the CT (not sure how).

Just wait til I get my hands on Wave II, Ill make the most lopsided Mist Lynx the world has ever seen.

As for the actual omnipods, minus the 2 UAC5, the Left Torso and the Left Arm are from the Nova C. Sadly the Nova D's missile Right Arm is missing.

The Timber Wolf's shoulder is indeed from the A. No idea why the CT can mount an LBX10/LBX5/LBX2 though.....
