Just throwing it out there if anyone has a spare Maskari Package that they don't have anyone to give away to, I'll give it a good home. :D

Huh, interesting what treasures people keep in their discarded pant.

There is currently no way of gifting in MWO.
Everthing you buy is locked to your account.

Not quite true, if you buy a Gold `Mech and you already have a Warhawk package you can gift it to someone (I have done this, so I know it works).

Ok... didn't know that.
How did you do it, though?

Had to send an email in to support saying that x purchase was a gold mech and i already had the warhawk package from x purchase and i want to give the extra package to person a. then they have to ask person a if they want to accept the gift (really?! not much of a gift if they can refuse it), if person a accepts then it goes through.

change x for transaction id

Gifting idea is pretty sound from both PGis and users perspective. Even if it doesn't account for the majority of sales, it will still boost PGIs income and some lucky users who are on the receiving end. Eg I know a girl who gives away BJs if you cover her with your ECM and triple anti missle penetration here is here user id.

Steam gifts account for a pretty large portion of their income.

Get on it PGI, nothing to loose.

Russ tweeted recently that they're looking at getting gifting going, or at least it's a thing he wants to do. Probably not going to be this year, but who knows?

Its actually a great system (gifting) and one thing i found interesting in WoT was being in a Clan you can have a unit pool of gold. So my guess is if someone needs some they can dip into it (havent tried it as we all carry a high gold balance individually).

It was worth a shot, tempted to drop $120 for the new package and the only thing stopping me is the lack of the Vulture as my Daishi Package just doesn't make the cut and I can't drop $240 in order to get it. Maybe next time.
