DWs are expensive, yes, but if you are into asaults they are worth it. There are certain ways to improve your c-bills farming so that you can get one in less than 100 matches, usually runnig something light with long-range weapons and well-placing uav and using TAG/NARC brings in a lot of profit. I made very fast 50m c-bills this way in a few days of intensive playing.
Or you can just find a group that is fun to play with and just keep dropping. Socialization is OP, you know.

For those who think it's problematic to raise the cbills for this beast, try selling unused stuff from your inventory. I made about 8mil last night just by selling my overstocked IS weapons and engines.

Selling unused weapons, engines, and equipment is probably the most overlooked source of c-bills if you find yourself in a pinch.

Fun mech these Dire Wolves. The firepower is amazing but sometimes I feel like I need a tug boat to come tow me into battle. Worth nabbing but I think I prefer my lighter assaults to this guy.

Would be nice if this "new leaf" PGI would reconsider the prices of Warhorns and other cockpit items.

Selling more at a lower price can prove to show better margins than selling a few at the higher mark.

See: Steam's sales. Sometime a developer makes more over the duration of the 50-75% off sale than they did for the entirety of the previous quarter.

Permanently cutting prices by 50% would be a good start.
