So I have been around for a while, and I have been looking at my stats recently. I am not sure what to think of them. I only have iS mechs. I have a good win/loss ratio in conquest with fast light mechs. (spider, commando, locust. with basecap and arty strike for mods). That is it. All my other stats suck. I love the idea of a heavy mechs but since the clan packs came out living has become an issue. My stats since the start would seem to suggest that I am fairly even in all game modes. This leads me to ask a few questions of myself.

My questions: 1. Should I Only play conquest, because I am a base cap kind of specialist and didn't know it? 2. Are my stats only good because the IS has the faster mechs atm? (IS is better in conquest?) 3. Time to come up with a new IS heavy build for the new meta?

Hard to get my mind around the new game. Tell me your thoughts.

I don't think there's any particularly good reason to worry about your stats. Play the game. Have fun. Kill space robots.

If you're having fun don't, worry too much about stats with Lights. Current stats don't reflect what most lights do best anyway.

And if you want to boost your overall stats, it depends on what other mechs you are using, where you can tweak to be more lethal. We can help out will builds and other suggestions.

And at any rate, just try to have fun!

play what interests you - i did 6 months straight in a Victor last summer, then i did 3 months straight with a BJ-1X, then 7 months learning to be a master of LRMs, and now i'v spent the last month playing a 93kph AC20/ERPPC Firebrand just because it's stupid and insane(-ly fun)

don't worry about numbers - go out and have fun!

I haven't looked at my stats in months. Literally, months. I'm sure they're terrible - I have good days and bad days. Such is the nature of an online multiplayer game.

The current stats in the game are not worth bothering about and pursuing "better" stats might make you do bad things you wouldn't otherwise do. I wrote a whole treatise on that here.
