The build? Well let's just say that is for me to know, and YOU to hopefully never find out.

Medium is now my srm wolverine with a340 xl going 110. Nothing scares a stormcrow more.
Heavy is my ac40 jager. I never have a bad day in that mech.
Assault would have to be my victor with ac5 sms mlas and a big xl. Victors still put me in a great mood.
I should have clan mechs on here but they are not as relaxing and people underestimate inner sphere mechs right now.

Also known as my "When in Rome..." mech because I am sick of my LRM mechs being thwarted with OP ECM and broken AMS, till I see that calm down again.

Gauss Rifle, 2 Medium Lasers, SRM6, SRM4.
3 tons of Gauss ammo, 1.5 tons of SRM ammo.
XL235 Engine.
Enhanced Zoom, Radar Deprivation, Target Info Gathering. SRM6 max cool down reduction. Gauss Rifle max cool down reduction.
I often do well over 400dmg, regardless of how quickly the game ends. My max damage with this 'mech has been close to 1100.
Moderate speed and armor. Okay at long range, devastating at medium and short range, never gets hot. I have much heavier 'mechs think twice after they get hit with an alpha strike. The sustained DPS over time is quite good.
My crutch 'mech for when I need a good game to lift my spirits.

Sometimes there are other mechs I will jump in that do similar things to the A1, but run faster/more mobile. Like the Wolverine/Griffin/Stormcrow, etc.
As for easy mode mechs that I have mastered so far:
Atlas D-DC - I normally PUG all the time. There's no better way to get focus fire, than to have an Atlas D-DC to make everyone gather around you, making you steamroll anything that goes anywhere near you. I only leveled the Atlas during 8v8 so it was one of the easiest things I've ever done in MWO. Now that 12v12 is around, You'll have to think a little more since you can't just bumrush running constantly at the enemy now. On the Atlas D-DC I generally put a bunch of LRMs on it, and had a PPC (and Tag), and an ac/20. I practicly LRM boated it because stuff would always die in 8v8 before I ever even got near the enemy, so LRMs just made it so I could score top damage+soften enemies and just finish people off with the ac/20+ppc when I finally got to the front lines.
Cataphract 4X. Easiest build I've ever done in MWO. Practicly the Dire Wolf of MWO before the Dire Wolf came out (and it's a heavy). It's practicly impossible to get less than 500 damage and a minimum of 2 kills with this thing even if you're being a total derp and just blindly running out in the open towards the enemy. 4 AC/5 (shreds things apart), or 3 AC/5 + Large Laser to laser longer. It always performed well, and if you got Terra Therma you may just go ahead and declare the game yours. Only problem is that the 4X is as slow as an assault, but is squishier like a Heavy.
Blackjack 3 and 1X - Whenever I pilot a blackjack (and other "lesser" mechs), people tend to ignore me, which allows me to wreck their face, it's fun.
1X is practicly just a very very speedy Hunchback due to the amount of energy hardpoints and huge engine size. It got me to love pulse lasers too. Just run around shoot someone in their weak areas to surgically remove parts. However, unlike lights, people don't want to murder you right away because people underestimate the Blackjack quite often.
Blackjack 3 - Personally my favorite of the Blackjacks because of it's jumpjets, and it doesn't use ac/2s (and ac/5s are hard to fit on a blackjack without sacrificing something). In addition to people underestimating blackjacks, double PPCs with it's high arm+cockpit makes it extremely effective at hillhumping. I cannot tell you how often people tried to shoot me, but ended up hitting the ground instead. Even then, people seem to treat you like you are using ECM when you hillhump with a BJ3. It was always easy to perform well with this thing.

Now I like to run the public solo queue with the Timberwolves.

sometimes you've just got to get back in the Boomjag, just to watch people go '****! I peek up for 1 second and lose my RT. NERF ALL THE THINGS!'
With the new modules for AC20s it performs pretty brutally. Still a glass canon but with everything being DoT anymore you can swing with it and get a lot of that ol' time '1-shot headshot' action back. Nothing quite like popping the cockpit out of an overheated laservomit Timby as someone realizes that this is not going to be a good match for them.
My Timby though, 4xCERML, 2xUAC5s, ammo + TC to match...
it's not about being competitive, it's about grinding money. That UAC will throw up 1000+ damage matches and with a TC fires accurately and eats components. With the 30% cbill bonus on her it's not uncommon to get 200k matches and it's more consistent (and fun) than running LRMs (another great way to grind money in the pug queue if you've got an LRM boat hero/premium mech).

Really enjoy the stormcrows as well, but since I'm not going to be able to run them in CW I have put them to the side and focusing on IS mechs.
