So I've been playing Table Top for years, and I love this MW:O game we got here a whole hell of a lot as well.

But while I was chilling in my MechBay today, it occurred to me that, I would absolutely love to see MW:O minis for TT. The art on many of the mechs stands as a dramatic improvement on the original, and even myself being a huge fan of the Unseen, if I'm being perfectly honest with myself, think that the MW:O versions actually for the most part trump their predecessors (Locusts as the prime example eh?).

That got me thinking all of a sudden. Here we have all these TT versions of mechs in the game (Stock Loadouts), but wouldn't it be fun to "reverse engineer" the common MW:O "meta" builds, or really, any load outs that we have and enjoy that are decidedly non-stock, back into the TT format and take them for a spin?

Anyone out there tried this yet?

Koniving did if I remember right - they did not fare well though

Builds built around a variable heat cap kinda blew it with a 30 point heat cap

Put MWO loadouts like the 2xPPC/Gauss on mechs and tried them in TT.

I should have imagined if anyone had tried it, he would have. I wonder if he has any notes/vids about it?

If I get some time to pull my boxes out and try it, I have a JM6-A build I'd love to take for a spin. And yeah, heat would be an interesting consideration. I wonder if there actually exists any possible build that could dominate in both TT and MWO?

He has a thread over in Battletech (I think) where he discusses various games he has had in TT.
I think that is where he at least mentioned it.

Koniving and I play TT every once in a while using MegaMek, right now he is (slowly) posting the results of our Phoenix Pack VS Direwolf pack battle.

The metabuilds would have BV values that are through the roof. You could probably field 2 or 3 level 1 mechs for each metabuild.

Most of the meta builds cook themselves on table top. One of the reasons (if I remember right) that MWO did not use full TT heat sink and cooling values. Anyone with that knew how to build TT 'Mechs could abuse heat neutral builds so badly it would not be funny.
