Going on 20 matches. Never seen the new map once. I can't get away from Forest Colony it seems, and now I'll prbably get 100 straight matches on Terra Derpa, but I'm doubting this 'heavy rotation' claim now.

Maybe they meant 'new training ground'.

Yes I'm being facetious, but I still haven't seen the new map.

I think I've been on it 4 times since it came out. Approximately 1/3 as many times as I've gotten Caustic. Heavy rotation indeed.

Understand you are not being picked based on what map you have been on or not, and there are 23 other players to consider, and which one was first...:)

Oh I totally know that Tarl. I'm just shaking my head because last time when HPG and CS came out I got 100 matches on both of them before the month was out. I was hitting it every 2-3 matches and often in streaks. Just strange this time around I haven't.

The more maps that are released will lower the odds that you will see any specific map.

:)

Hai, I went for an entire evening until my last drop before it showed up. At least I have not gotten stuck on things on the map like I was during the testing phrase of it.

I have seen the mining collective at least 20 times over the weekend, playing skirmish and assault only, have only seen it on skirmish battles, yet to see a base on it... Had it 4 times in a row on one occasion last night....Guess you just aren't having much luck mate, or aren't playing enough skirmish... ;)

I think it needs to be up on the rotation more.

That said, I did have one night I got it 3/4 times in a row (which in my books is not a bad thing, it is a ridiculously fun map).

Maybe its a question of luck and you just time in at the wrong time of the rotation?

Boating lrms will get you this map. Looks like it now on the "lrm nerf" rotation. Like canyon and forest used to be.

I just checked cause I was curious how much I had actually had it since release. Funnily enough, I've done 53 matches there since it's release. More than Frozen City, River City and Forest Colony.

Finally saw the new map 2 times in 5 matches, which is what I kinda expected for "Heavy Rotation". Most of this was mocking. The other was shaking my fist at random number generators.

And yes, It's going to be like Crimson Straits... a nasty map for LRMs.

New map is great for all weapon types. LRMs are still viable, but you can't just have your whole team rain derp across the whole map. Positioned correctly, teams running only a small number of LRM mechs will find them more useful on the new map compared to other, more open maps because AMS is also significantly less effective.

The only weapon type that suffers a lot compared to other maps is extreme-range direct fire. Mid-range direct fire, like ~650m, is still pretty decent but your opponent is also more likely to get into your face before you kill em.

It's a really good map.

Out of about 40 games played I've been on the new map only 4 times last week, but it was 4 great games. So far, I really love it. Still so much things to discover on it, and for the first time ever it brings back that "urban combat" feel like there was in MW4. Love it.

Only dropped in when playing the splat dog, but this map seems to be a bless for splats and other backstab/brawl type of mechs. Feels great to have a place for them, after so many of long range favorable maps.

Yep, it's Forest Colony, Terra Therma, or Tourmaline Desert. If not those three HPG Manifold. Always, for weeks too. Canyon Network alot also.

Now the problem with Forest Colony is it is too dark-fogged to see anything on my monitor. Options/Brightness is already all the way up, but does nothing now. But somehow other players see me from across the map when the game starts. So the dark-fog seems monitor dependent and should be removed for fairplay. The original Forest Colony from closed beta was the most realistically done map so far anyway. The Mechs all looked the correct scale on it with the way the atmospherics were set up. Take a look......

Now that was a very cool map, very realistic. They should just bring it back and call it "Forest Colony Summer" or similar. Now those SRMs actually worked!

Haven't gotten the new map once while pugging.

Got it repeatedly in the lance challenge.

I wasn't carrying LRMs in either case.
