Heavy mech population 40%+
These are the numbers I have been seeing when I dared look.
It's pretty craptacular for light and medium players. PGI should be encouraging light and medium play, seeing as they are mostly down to sub 20% of the total player base at most times. Yes you sometimes see spikes but let's not kid ourselves they are under used and thus make a mockery of 3/3/3/3. When the queue gets heavy it just dumps more assaults and heavies into the games like nothing ever changed. Potential solution take all those extra assaults and heavies that are making the queue overflow and dump them in their own game. Please don't throw a medium or light in there though that would be really mean.
The addition of the Cbills was nice, however getting 20 matches with 130+ points will no doubt be impossible for many players to achieve, especially with the win only condition. I would have done it hours ago if that wasn't for having to be on the winning side.
Still hats of to PGI for running all these different tourneys. I would rather have them and not like them and not have them. Keep up the good work.

1st game:
Terra therma- we took center and had it.. enemy team split up to try and get shots at 3 entrances from outside
Obvious solution: Group up at one entrance quickly, and overwhelm one of the splinters of the enemy team... then go right back in and repeat the process.
I called for a group up at F6 to deal with that entrance.. a few mechs showed up and looked ready to go. I called "go go go" and dropped down to engage the enemy. I was goddamned alone. all 7 other mechs sat at the entrance trying to snipe (doing more team damage than anything- only 1-2 mechs get to shoot at a time) and then the remaining entrances got overwhelmed while 7 mechs tried to snipe 5 mechs outside... other entrances get rushed and destroyed and then the 7 cowards get rushed and smashed. Lost 2-12. Goddamned cowards.. "oh no, if I actually do something.. I might get shot!"
2nd Game:
Frozen City-
Second bunch of wanna be snipers, spread out into pockets of 3-4 and get swallowed up by an enemy blob. 3-12. Solo challenge times seem to have a direct correlation with a decrease in player literacy rates.
3rd Game:
Tourmaline Desert-
Looks a little better at first, we stay together and kill a couple of their Rambo's then we all sit and wait. I move out to do a flanking maneuver to try and divide attention (SCRs are very good at that) and let them do an organized push into the divided enemy. I run into the whole enemy team looking at me as I come around a corner to their original 8 oclock. My whole team tried to follow me (the mastered SCR) to hide behind. They strung themselves out and got eaten 1-2 at a time. 3-12.
I quit. I will be back after the challenge.
PGI: If. You. Are. Going. To. Have. A. Solo. Challenge...
MAKE A FREE FOR ALL GAME MODE.
Solo challenge in Team game... brilliant.

Also I've had sever 130+ point matches that were losses, those should have counted.

If a tournament makes you wanna take a break from the game when its over, or before its over - then that really sucks.
Who ever came up with this tournament idea? Please dont let them design any more tournaments, even PGI Jon on reddit seemed to agree it wasnt a great idea. His suggestion for player designed tournaments is a good idea too!

"How hard must I carry", I ask my self. The response is " You must carry harder (commrad)"
So how hard am I carrying? Not hard enough, apperantly.
At this point I just want to spam all chat with references to "Animal Farm", "Atlas Shrugged", 1984 and etc. As in "Who is John Gault?!!"

I expect the queues to empty of competitive players towards the end of the challenge though.
Should be easier to get your wins after tomorrow.

Either way, only thing I could suggest, and it's just my opinion... instead of this:
Match points special formula:
(Kills × 20) + (Kill Assist × 10) + ((Damage Done - Team Damage) ÷ 15)
reverse it to:
(Kills × 10) + (Kill Assist × 20) + ((Damage Done - Team Damage) ÷ 15)
Giving more weight to Assists over Kills might(?) promote a bit more teamwork... tho' having played most of the day on Saturday, except for one battle, they where all close games... 12-9, 12-11, etc... teams really worked well together (might have just gotten lucky in my drops, who knows...)
Still... weighing Assists over Kills might help out a bit... and give more a shot at the bonus C-Bills...

I've decided to call it a day and go back to my groups and play real team matches....... This is not a well constructed challenge.

More like...
Teammates: Friend, Foe, or Foible
The thing is... in solo play (I've said this before), that it's hard to trust your teammates at times. The thing is, a multitude of players don't seem to try playing in a team-friendly framework... either because they don't know better or honestly think they can 1v1 everything. It's maddening at times as focus fire often times gets the result (kills, assists, and rewards). It's unfortunately always been this way in any solo tourney ("all for me, and screw the rest of you").

HSR seems to be gone completely bonkers, hard to get anything registered
Too uneven weight allocation in solo-queue (when will your 3/3/3/3 be fixed again ? )
So far, absolutely not satisfied with this weekend, even if the idea was a good one .

I give you an A- for effort. Nice to see some of these weekend challenges tbh.
However on thinking this one out, you failed.
I have seen a total change in gameplay over this weekend. Players are not even making ( I know it's a pug but still ) an attempt at playing as a team. I have watched over and over again as other players hold their fire waiting for others to fire first in the hopes they get the kill. These players are even allowing other enemy mechs to pass by without being fired on as the pack just chases after the one mech near death. People don't even care about the win, seriously they are only trying to get the 130 points needed for the 500,000 c-bills. You get that whether you lose or win and in these pugs even the more experienced players are just playing for those c-bills. There are many people who don't care about your MC prizes or the leaderboards, they just want that 130pt match score.
I mean, I'm watching players block their own team from shooting an enemy mech on purpose or even charge in to get that wounded mech instead of playing smart. This happening almost every game.
The games are total crap right now.

For these solo challenges can't you prgram the matchmaker to NOT place players from the same unit on the same team? That would end the sync drops or at least reduce them. Now that players can be part of a unit at least that can be factored into the matchmaker's calculations I would think.
