Yup..... or one could have Jump Jets, and actually get that mech INTO the fight.
It'll hop right into the fight and promptly get eaten! And after you spend 4-5 tons on Jump Jets (you didn't think you'd be able to actually "hop" with 1-2 JJ, did you?), the net difference in tonnage is more like 8 or 9!

330 Std on the Black Knight, so it is only around 9kph slower than the Timby (which the current meta laser vomit does not mount JJs either) and it could mount 6 ML and 2 ERLL, so :P

Jump Jets didn't save the Quickdraw mind you, and they have around the same hardpoints (except missiles in the head not the torso).

They can't get collisions right (and they are still missing), let alone melee combat that would include said collisions.

Yeah, as well as a hatchet, but we're probably never going to see THOSE versions in this game.

Grasshopper all the way. Will be a much better beast in this game.

Don't be fooled by false advertising. It is the Dark Age BLK-NT-5H, which has little resemblance to the actual design.

But hey, if one prefer looks rather than capability, then I have no words but to shake my head slowly.

And the OP is so poorly made but anyone with a brain can see that.

MWO robots only superficially resemble the 1700s battletech cave paintings they're based on.

Then you learned your lessons poorly. As for the video, while funny, I believe the BT Black Knight descends more from Arthurian legend than parodies of said legend.

Definitely Grasshopper. A 75-tonner without JJs that can't carry missles or ballistics would be not good.
In fact it would be bad.

Not having JJs didn't save the Orion either. And that is what the Black Knight is, an all energy Orion. Same speed, same engine cap.

You're saying this as though the Grasshopper is significantly different. It's 70 tons, cannot carry ballistics, and has a single missile hardpoint in its head. That's one single crit slot. Your choices are: LRM5, SRM2, SRM4, or SSRM2.
