You was expecting maybe symmetry?

[Demoman]So[/Demoman]: The case is the red-trimmed one, in case Newegg is being coy with ya'; The clear fan goes on the lower door mount, for the video card, and I glossed over the way it would patch into the mobo (I don't think you want it straight into the PSU, spooling @ full power all the time;) I was gon'a use a GTX 970, but the PSU prices weren't impressed, and I keep hearing AATMDI-Types don't care 'bout power bills, so here we are.

Feel free to add an optical drive, or even downgrade the PSU to mere Bronze … But I wouldn't. Posted Image

How much faith does anybody have in a Cheap/ Weak Build? All of twice has it been put forth a FX-6xy0 might render excrement perpendicular to the plain of gravity, but here's one now, to go with a GTX 950, and a single, solitary case fan.

And wasn't that CPU $122 five minutes ago? Posted Image

Somehow saving ~$7 on the case turned into spending ~$23 on fans. Feel free to wire the 140mm on the door straight to the PSU.

I have now real idea how big a card you need to run TXAA2x, or just MSAA2x, nor is this PSU big enough for you to double-up if any such tests fall though …

No: You will not get an overclock that big.

MW:O doesn't work well with steamroller-modules, therefore you would be better off with a Skylake i5. Then you could save some money on the CPU-cooling and the ridiculously oversized PSU (honestly, the GTX970 just doesn't cut it for SLI...)
As it stands, you will have to OC the AMD FX heavily and invest a lot of money. But all you do is to ride a dead horse.
Hopefully Zen will change this situation for AMD.

The soundcard you've chosen is a very old and outdated design. The chip itself is pretty solid, but the DAC and analogue-section is rather meager. The mainissue here is, that the motherboard you've chosen got a rocksolid audio solution onboard, based on the ALC 1150. You will hardly notice a quality improvement. EAC is dead, so you must have to be a fan of creatives software-distortions (crystalizer, "surroundsound" etc) in order to invest money in this card.
As I can see you've used the same audio device for your intel system. Take that money to get a better mainboard. Doesn't make any sense to buy a CPU especially for overclocking and then pair it up with the cheapest components available. You need a solid mainboard, and even 30$ more will improve the overall quality of your mainboard.

Yeah: I see the "warnings," too; But if this is the one 970 mobo with a full set of voltage regulator modules for overclocking, then what's the problem?

The thing about the case and the CPU cooler is a little moar worrisome: You might want the non-S, or else the other non-S with a USB3.0, on it. As it is, you were never gon'a put fans on the door in the first place, and if you can close the door with only sound effects, and not teh flexing of important stuff, it'll work out …

They could get MS to push an update out but I think that's risky for MS updating CPU microcode in Windows could be a bad idea.

Time will tell!

Telling, no?

How badly do you want to d/l a BIOS from a third party site to get that "outlaw" tweak, if you haven't already done so?

The old Bios are still available on the motherboard websites, which is standard. There's no need to visit any third party site.

The current Bios that allows the OC will be on all boards the world over currently in Stock or in Depot... It'll be quite some time before the new Bios will come as standard.

Dont forget to buy a Saitek x52 flight control system....rudder pedal is optional....the joystick has a twist feature which i use to twist torso. The throttle i use for forward and backwards movement, also the buttons on the throttle control jump jets, thermal imaging, legs to torso alignment, etc. The joystick controls all firing aspects, 6 buttons for 6 different weapon group firing, UAV deployment, Artilery Strike smoke placement. Its fun and gives the game more realism IMO. Yeah i KNOW MOUSE and KEYBOARDs are for the PROFESSIONAL GAMERS....but FTW...this is a MECH SIMULATOR GAME and should be played as such.

I'm interested in a budget gaming build (no monitor) that can run MWO in FHD with medum / high detail and I'm asking for some advice.
I was thinking about these components:
- 8 / 16 GB RAM.
- AMD X4-860K
- GPU ? Here I do not have a clue. Is a Radeon R7 sufficient? I was thinking about an R7 260X 2GB...
- Motherboard: Gigabyte Mod SoFM2+ GBT F2A88XM-D3H

What do you think about this build?

Thanks.
