Tell me which mech should i choose according to my criteria. I don't wanna a TBR, i don't like running the best mech in the game. The fat letters meand i care strongly about these.
Do not tell me to get other mechs, please.

1-Summoner
Pros: Favourite Heavy / Will be buffed / Looks awesome (not a fun of the rounded up head)
Cons: Underpowered / not so customizable couse of fixed JJ waight /Bit expensive

2-Dire wolf
Pros: Favourite clan assault / Powerfull / Can support any loadout exept LRM boat which i do not care about / Handsome
Cons: Too expensive to master / Everyone runs it / Too expensive to master / Expensive

3-StormCrow
Pros: Best Medium mech according to forum gossip / New mech too me (never used it in other MW games / It a medium /won't feel the grid much since i'll (almost) have CB for 2 varians once it is out
Cons: Not out yet and i want a new toy / No nostalgia about it

You don't need to master a Direwolf for it to rip things to shreds though it helps when you are getting circled by 90kph+ mediums and lights. 4 UAC/5s and 6 ERMeds are easy enough to manage for heat assuming you group the meds 3-3 and shoot only 3 when heat is getting high. You can also go Dual Gauss which solves most any heat problem.

You might get bored with the limited options that the Summoner has unless you prefer always being light on weapons. 2x PPC, 5xSRM brawler, SRM+ER Meds and various other combinations are possible. High mounted ballistics so you can probably go Gauss+PPC here too.

Personally I'd purchase the Direwolf over the Summoner if I had to choose one over the other. You can keep 1 Direwolf with maxed out basics and it will probably still rip a mastered summoner to shreds.

Direwolf mastery is an absolute must imo. The Warhawk on the other hand you can survive without it. It's fast and maneuverable enough without mastery and it's signifigantly cheaper going by PGI's pricing. It's not out for Cbills just yet but it will be.

If you don't want to wait then the Stormcrow is probably the safest bet there is.

You could also wait for the IS quirk pass which is in a month from now at the latest but possibly 2 weeks from now. You might find something that catches your fancy.

I have to say that my favorite mech in the battletech lore is the Summoner. However not so much in MWO. I mastered that mech and found a few builds that I really liked, but I cannot recommend you get it as your next mech based on the options given.

Being a medium pilot (love them!) I would recommend the Stormcrow. It is very easy to play and can be decently versatile. I had a lot of fun mastering the mech. I played it mostly as a short range missile boat. Very devastating for 55 tons.

I also found the Dire Wolf to be a lot of fun as well, and would recommend it as a second choice. It can do some insane damage, but requires the most skill IMO. You really have to anticipate where you need to be. One wrong turn and you are done. In pugs this can be very challenging, especially when the pug group really has no idea where it is going.

So I would pick them up in this order:
Stormcrow
Direwhale
Summoner (maybe).

I found that the Summoner was a complete muppet of a mech for me.

It seems to work well for others, but I kicked mine to the curb and sold them off as soon as I got my Mad Dogs.

The big thing to remember if you buy a Dire Wolf is that you are going to be THE priority target on the battlefield. Expect to be swarmed by lights, arty, and lrms on a constant basis. I found the Warhawk to be much more survivable and did much better in it on a regular basis than in any of my Dire Wolf builds.

I haven't gotten around to working on my Storm Crows yet. I'm going to work on them as soon as I finish mastering my Timbies and Mad Dogs. From what I've seen on the battlefield though, they're VERY good mechs with a lot of diversity in their builds.

Actually, it can be an LRM boat. However, I fire LRMs as I close in and fire lasers, Clan ERPPCs, cannons, machine guns, etc.

Not my sure if it's my exact DWF-A build, but MWO is patching right now so I'll have to wait to see my actual in-game build. This should be pretty close though. Anyways, here: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...d7731d9995deceb

Note: As you probably know, the Summoner can out-maneuver the Dire Wolf well. While it's not the best mech in my opinion, it does has good maneuverability and even though it can't carry around anything near the firepower of a Dire Wolf, it can pack a punch. I also find the StormCrow quite enjoyable with its speed. All three mechs can be very lethal in the right hands.
I've done my worst in my Summoners but I've also barely used them.

It really depends which mech you want. Something slow but with a lot of weaponry or a something more maneuverable. I'd look for game play videos of mechs before you make your final decision.

The Crow is a versatile and tanky Medium.

Thanks for the replies everyone, i bought a wale since the summoner has too little tonnage to play with for a heavy and the crow isn't out.

Lock please
