Hopefully we will get some unique looking omnipods with the Clan Heroes. I'd be down for a ballistic omnipod on a Direwolf for example that looked more like the highlanders right arm as an example.

I dont think Prometheus, as it's famous warrior is an IS Pilot, Victor Davion. I would think they would go more in the direction of a clan pilot for the first one like Adian Pryde's Summoner, Vlad Ward's Timber Wolf.

Well for the Dire Wolf, we could go with the Widowmaker, the mech of Natasha Kerensky or the Lone Wolf, the mech of Phelan Kell...
The thing about the clans, is that you really don't see to many hero versions, most of them just used stock mechs.

That said, I think Hero Clan mechs are going to be setup in one of three ways:
1) Have an entirely locked hardpoint setup so they are unable to use pods at all.
2) Have a few unique pods locked into the chassis, but not at every location.
3) Have unique pods that only come with the Hero mech.
I suspect 1 or 2 because that would limit the hero mech a bit so you couldn't simply make any normal build on the hero mech, but we'll probably not know more till some time in February at the earliest (When everything should be CBills)

The above choice is the best choice.
Mad Dog must be Joanna (gauss in each arm perhaps...)
Now we need a Smoke Jaguar and a Ghost Bear... but whom shall it be?

The Vulture with a Gauss in each arm is the C variant.
Most of the "Hero" variants used by the Clans turned out to be a mix of the omnipods we currenly have. e.g. The Mad Cat Pryde could be created using the Prime arms and and legs and the S torsos I believe (I do not own one to verify this).

Yes, we can use the S torsos to make the Pride, but you'd also need the S center torso to max out the JJ's on it...

I would sell a kidney for a Prometheus. Having it be considered a IS mech would be cool (not sure if that would have any game effect).

Here is your "DWF-Widow maker".
You get all the equipment, bonus, and hardpoints.
You can put other omni pods in on the mech, but you can't put the premium pods on other mechs.
Also double omni pod set bonus.
Sound awesome?
I think we should try to stick to clan pilots for heroes, I do not think the IS owned clan mech 'heroes' come any time soon anyway.
Also if they do the widow maker I want to have the high placement for the ballistic and the medium lasers on the 2 ends of the ct instead of centre... thank you

- Right Arm: Two C-UAC/2s (Two Ballistic HPs)
- Right Torso: Six Clan UAC/2 Ammo, One Clan UAC/2 Ammo One Clan Double Heatsink*
- Center Torso: One C-ERPPC (One Ballistic HP), Normal Engine
- Left Torso: Four Clan Double Heat Sinks*
- Left Arm: Two C-UAC/2s (Two Ballistic HPs)
This lethal weapon launches a ball of plasma 180 meters. When within that range it deals eight damage, the damage rapidly decreasing as the range increases (1 damage at 270 meters). Deals 4 Heat per Shot, with a stacking penalty at 4 Flamers (an additional 2 heat per extra flamer). Takes six seconds to reload. Each weapon weighs 1 ton.
Like the good ol' flamer from past games right?
Mad Dragon II (MDD-MDII):
- Right Arm: Three Dragon Flamers (Three Energy HPs)
- Right Torso: Two Dragon Flamers (Two Energy HPs)
- Center Torso: ECM*, Clan XL Engine 320*
- Left Torso: Two Dragon Flamers (Two Energy HPs)
- Left Arm: Three Dragon Flamers (Three Energy HPs)

well hero clanners could still have unqiue quirks, like specific weapon cooldowns reduced as tradeoff for other coodowns increased. Or range quirks for specific weapons. Turn and twist rate tweaks. And of course ist also about unique camo/geometry that defines a heromech.

But for me, i am looking forward to the summoner one.. that will most likely be my first clan mech.. Or perhaps the mad cat, just because of my old Mech commander days... Woot mission 3 salvage!
