if you are out of ammo,or a "stick" try to block enemy player movements and their retreat by doing the "london parking" manouver behind them.

call me evil, but I feel that if one chooses to disengage, they forfeit ALL CBills for the match, but get their XP and precious stats. That way it forces one to choose...protect their stats, or their pocketbook.
But like I said, i am mean like that.

So... the complete opposite of R&R? Back in the day, there was incentive not to suicide. It was too expensive. Which made sense both in terms of being a mercenary and a loyalist soldier fighting with limited resources.

You're suggesting that mechwarriors should be encouraged to destroy their mechs, and penalized for disengaging to cut their losses.

Simply put, I could not disagree more. If I had it my way, we would bring back R&R and there would be yet another reason to disengage. Smaller repair bill. :)

I'd prefer RnR.

But yeah...if you forfeit, there is one reason, end of the day. Immersion or not, it's to protect stats. Because it's not like it costs money if you are destroyed.

So fine, let the people who wan't to "forfeit", actually forfeit. But look up the definition of a forfeiture. You give up everything.

So you make a choice, fight to the end, and walk away with money, win, lose or draw. Or forfeit, possibly hurting the team's chances of winning (I have still pulled out wins far under 30% health. Got a post with me trucking along in my 8% Atlas ftw), protect your stats, keep your XP, but earn no money for the match.

Seems fair to me.

No weapons left?

Bring back knockdown.

Better yet, give us melee attacks!

That would be a great way to give hand actuators some functionality and improve IS chances against clans.

funny but in the end you were the one who chose to not take any back up weapons and to go 100% into the ballistic weapons.

So suck it up buttercup and either go suicide or do your team a favor and act as a meat shield for someone else you shouldn't be going back to base to hide (okay maybe 1 match out of 1000 this is a good idea)

Because honestly they should NEVER allow someone to just ditch a game and get rewards just because they ran out of ammo.
Go ahead and add in a Vote to concede option that requires your team to be losing already and still require X amount of teammates to agree. No suicide.

Some Mechs don't have any energy weapon hardpoints! The new Centurion AH only has Ballistic hardpoints on the right arm, and missiles in the left torso, if it is going to be the same as the old one. Really they should give us a concession and give it at least 1 energy hard point in the center for a backup large laser or small laser.
