You have other alternatives that don't negatively impact your fellow players available to you and you aren't making use of them. Hurting other people to get your way isn't acceptable behavior. That's my belief and there isn't anything you can say that will convince me otherwise.

You are absolutely correct and you have totally changed my mind about the whole afair, its totally my fault that i dont select a mode i dislike and im being forced to play it anyways, silly of me to think that i should play a game because i enjoy it, i now stand corrected and of course will play it no matter how much i dislike it.

whats bad is I didn't realize I could not play conquest mode till this thread, thanks for taking out the trial mechs I thought that was never going to happen

its a patch, means they change stuff, guess what they'll change other stuff too

Eww, this is a bit of a problem for me. I do not like the conquest game mode. I will not bother explaining my logic on the matter, just know I am not pleased by the idea of being forced to play the conquest game mode. I can only assume this decision was made in an attempt to improve match making efficacy and wait times (in a shrinking player pool?). As an avid player, I will give it a try in good faith, but be warned, I will vote with my feet. This means I will disconnect from conquest matches at the beginning if these matches become unpleasant for me or I see too many of them.

I know some other community members take dim view on this behavior, but I believe players disconnecting from matches early is a very clear communication tool that PGI will be able to track, care about, and act upon... even more so that stating your feelings about the topic on this forum.

As for disconnecting from matches early being some kind of attack on other players fun... I simply don't view this game as some kind of commune where players obligated to stay in unwanted matches to accommodate other people's fun. I suppose PGI could stiffen the penalties for dropping matches early, but those disincentives have never dissuaded me from dropping matches after my mech destroyed in the match.

In any case, I will give it a few weeks to develop an experienced-based opinion and then drop it off my feedback here.

I doubt you'll see conquest to frequently, but I'd encourage you to try to play it out when you do see it, as it can be very interesting and fun if you actually use strategy with your team. I understand you don't like it, but you may remember that Green Eggs and Ham book?

Finally the trial mechs aren't in the mech lab anymore (never understood why they were in the first place since they can't be modified at all). Noone seems to have mentioned this, but why can't the mechs in the store appear the way they used to, only with the mouseover stats (like they did in the mechlab purchable tab previously)? All the changes so far seem great but the mech tab in the store, that now seems worse than it was to me (yeah I know, so what if one guy doesn't like it, but thats my opinion)

Still waiting for when you look at Purchasable Mechs and click BACK it goes back to the last view instead of resetting the filter to start from scratch. Time waste.

Guys, the GXP is a bug as it simply gives MXP but it says GXP. Confused me for a long long time. Also, there seems to be new rewards already placed as last match I got 52 XP for suiciding (overriding in combat). Now that's awesome.

Stop being so negative. What has this patch let us down in any case except maybe the lack of game mode selections (which most likely we will get back anyway?) The UI has gotten much better and other stuff has been improving, and it's not like they forced the "modern" Blue Hud rather than the yellow Hud.

So anyone have gotten XP for suiciding yet?
