What did lead to the descicion to show skills but disable the ability to unlock them on mechs you do not currently own?

The only consequence of the disability to unlock those skills that i see is that you have to re-buy the mechs in order to unlock something which you might have forgotten to unlock just to re-sell them afterwards which is pure nuisance and doesnt contribute to enjoying the game, no?

So i guess unlocking skills on mechs you dont currently own if you have the XP is a feature yet to be implemented ?

No it's not a feature yet to be implemented. Before it was just hidden xp you had no idea how much was on a mech you didn't own atm but say used in the past and sold. Maybe you want to buy it back to convert gxp. Maybe it was a trial mech you ran for awhile but didn't buy and wanted to know how much xp you had on it. Either way this was a long over due change. Thank You PGI.

ah is it realy the case that you can get XP on a trial mech which you dont own for that chassis ? that would then be a reason to make it not skillable unless you own it as that would be a loophole to finish the basics without buying the mech.

Can you please set the colors back to how they used to work?

it is really difficult now to know where I was with the variants I owned.

Make it so un-owned variants are not added in again.
