That's almost exactly what Iraqi Shia (70%) told the Sunni (30%). The latter dealt with it by joining the IS.

Only for the unimaginative players.

Exactly.

Which is why every mode ends up exactly the same, lol.

I'm not sure why everyone is upset... The matches are more even, the wait times are shorter. You CAN play conquest like Skirmish, unless you're on Terra.

same experience I had.

Not saying it can't go the other way, but am wondering if usual hyperbolic forum inflation is no tat play. As in-..... I don't like conquest (because it requires actual strategy sometimes), and I got it like...3 whole times...but that wont sound convincing in forums, so lets say..30, yeah 30 times.

lol.

Drop Commander in group had it set to training wheel mode....er Skirmish only...and in 16 drops...only got Skirmish.

Odd that.

Bish... I have had 2 CQ games... in a row!

I am tainted. I feel the whine coming on.

First I find it weird that no one is expressing any joy over the EXTREMELY decreased wait times and the better ELO matching.

Not trying to be too much of a white knight here, but there are positive experiences to be taken from this.

For those who hate conquest I generally find it to be a nice change of pace. It actually changes the dynamics of some maps completely. For example... Terra Therma is in general not a fantastic map. It is a tremendous conquest map, however. I enjoy alpine a good deal as well. Conquest really mixes up the game and makes it play differently.

I do understand frustration, but there are definitely positives to be taken from this.

Welcome to Conquest. We are here because we do not want Skirmish.

Well, on a whim I finally reinstalled this game and decided to drop a few bones and "get my clan on" once I saw that I can finally have my Stormcrow (its no Stooping Hawk, but I'll take it). Shockingly, the community is up in arms about something. Its like nothing has changed since the end of 2013.

I don't mind the game mode thing, I don't have strong feelings about any of the game modes and have them all checked anyway. I feel that the majority of the matches I was in yesterday were fairly balanced, so that was nice.

This voting on game mode is utter bull hockey. Whoever thought it was a good idea is intellectually stunted. I only like to play skirmish so I should be allowed to do so as we have been.

I nearly quit before but they put skirmish mode in. I have been playing since Beta yet I will quit over this.

The devs better pull their heads out of their fifth point of contact on this.

Such an opening post earns your thread a ride to k-town!
For earnest discussion, without insults and equally unwelcome colorfull language, please continue in one of the other threads about the new matchmaker. If you didn't do it already, you can vote on it here.

I cant understand how you can complain about the different game modes, when you can win each mode the same way, by killing the other mechs.

i think of it like eating fish prepared 3 different ways, in the end your always eating fish.

On a side note, they spoke about this change on 2 different town halls on twitch and had a vote option on the forums for at least 3 or 4 days. so its not like they asked you directly, they asked the community.

Ceviche, Bouillabaisse, and Baccalà alla Vicentina are all fish dishes prepared differently. But that's the only thing they have in common. But then again that is very hard to explain to a "meat and potatoes" only person. ;)

So the person who only plays the game mode designed to cater to the intellectually stunted, complains that the devs are intellectually stunted. Such delicious irony.
