I know there is already a topic about this, but since it hasn't seen activity in a while I figured I'd just start a new one.

So out of nowhere I yesterday for the first time stumbled across a post stating that 3D vision has been in for a while now. My button was always disabled in game, so I figured it was still coming. I did not realize I had to switch 3D back on in the control panel to enable the button (doh).

Anyway, so finally got around to testing 3D vision with the game and it's not bad :)
The depth of the cockpit is great, and I'd probably be able to play with it switched on in future.
The only thing preventing me from using it is really the aiming on the arms, since the crosshair doesn't move correctly with the actual shooting location of the arms.

Would be nice to in future see some cool 3D effects in the mechlab and menu screens. Eventually even getting the maps themselves to display in 3D rather than just the HUD and cockpit. But it's a great start.

Yeah. It looks great, but you cannot aim arms because the arm reticle doesn't show up in 3D mode. I thought that was a minor problem, but it turns out to be a big issue.

Try shooting down a UAV with arm lasers when you have no idea where they are pointing. By the time you fire the lasers, note the location and adjust your aim, the majority of the damage has been wasted firing into the sky. This is just one example of how it breaks the game. Combat is obviously gimped as well.

If this could be fixed, 3D would be fully functional and awesome.
