From every bit I can tell this game has very few actual free to play people playing this game.

They are either hard core life long fans of Mech Warrior or they don't play from what I can tell I am sure there are some exceptions of course.

I myself have had 5 of my favorite gaming friends all of which love a good competitive game and enjoyed the basis of this game however not a single one of them stayed on to keep playing. When I grilled them on why they lost interest or gave up all of them sited the inability to have more than your 4 garage slots that you start with without investing money.

I am sure each and every one of my said friends would have stayed and kept playing the game if they didnt hit that wall of realization that they would have to make and grind multiple accounts or throw in heaps of money just to grind like a chinese gold farmer to fill those garage slots. I have faith that if we introduced a change to let a player REALLY GRIND for A GARAGE SLOT. I could convince my friends to come back and play again and I am sure at least two of them whom I know lack the will power to grind for such a thing on a regular basis would pay to speed it along occassionally but would be happy also sometimes just grind for the extra slot here and there.

To this I say a simple fix to get a larger player base that would grow itself much like league of legends where you can grind for new champions or you could spend some money to just unlock them. Simply let players purchase mech bays for a large sum of cbills. I think the amount of 10 million would be a good unforgiving number that would highly encourage a player who needs his fix will simply throw in a quick 20 on the game to get his garage slots and some premium time.

The names of my 5 friends who probably haven't logged in any real time in the game since a little after the beta are Butterscotchking, Sumohentai, Mcmadd, Snigkers and KeshianX Just incase any actual pgi person thinks I am full of it when I say 5 of my friends. KeshianX also had 2 alts he made in an attempt to have a set of 3 mechs for more weight catagories but rage quit when he realized he would have to triple murder grind the general exp for the modules on each game. I have been playing for quite a while myself now and I am still struggling to get all the modules and I still spend roughly 50-100 dollars a year on this game getting myself a micro purchase here and there and treating myself on christmas.

[Sorry I posted this in general discussion as well wasn't quite sure which place was best for it as I would like to see a general discussion on it and I would love to see it implemented?]

As the other thread sparked far more discussion, I'll close this one and leave the other one open.

Please do not crosspost again.
