If Your Dumd Enough To Walk In Front Of Direwhale With 6 Autocannons Thats Firing Then You Deserve To Die!

Said person who got team killed then ranted that i was a team killer.
So i thought to ask the question.
If you see a Direwhale doing 53.5kms and you run into the path of it's fire while it's shooting in your 75kms Victor. What should happen?
Should the dakka dakka direwolf stop firing to let u get in the way so u can do hit and run tactics so the dakka dakka direwolf takes the return fire to the face?
Or should idk, you use your speed to come around from the other side of the building and flank it?
to me it's seems a simple answer, don't walk into the path of the autocannons and get your own line of fire than expect someone else to stop firing so you can.
You walk in front of me while i'm firing at another direwolf and going toe to toe with it then it's your own fault if i kill you as i try to kill the enemy direwolf. Too sad so bad learn situational awareness, rather than blame the person who killed you by accident.
I'm not aiming at you i'm aiming at the target on the other team. So lesson, don't walk in front of the mech that's pouring out hot lead and expect right of way, extremely so when your not on coms with them and can't call out that your crossing.
mmm k.
we clear now then?

Annoying yes, their fault they take some damage yes, but unless their back is already open, the actual team kill rests on you.
People move lasers off target when a team mate walks in front, you could always let go of the mouse button.

Yea, you should stop firing if you can and let him through. He is your team mate. He might not be bright or have good situational awareness, but you shouldn't TK him if you have the chance to stop firing or move your guns away from him.
Mistakes happen, I have accidentally taken a team mate out too. Say your sorry and move on. It sounds like you were in the wrong here, so apoligize. He may get snarky, but if you could have stopped his TKing and decided not too so you can "teach him a lesson", then he has a right to be snarky (even if he should have stayed out of your firing line).

Nope, sick of idiots blocking shots, i have an aussie Ping, by the time i've seen them come in front of me, i've likely double tapped already so there's nothing i can do about them dieing when i've pumped out 60 damage to there back.
Best to just keep blasting, wreck the other mech and win the game then give away to a fool.
sooner or later these dumb pilots will learn or they can keep dieing.
Plus your saying it's better to let dumb pilots get in the way than try explain through pain that they have the speed to go around instead?

If they're walking into your line of fire, they need to be burned.
The mech gods adore sacrificing a teammate to the dakka.

250 ping, i can fire and double tap and see people then JJ into the path and take it in the back, he was dead before his mech hit the ground as i guess he'd taken some back damage already.
so i kept firing and killed the direwhale also.
IF i have a chance to stop i will but if i can't and you die it's not my fault

Very true. If you had no chance to stop and he dies...that's the way it goes.
The way you were talking though, made it sound like you were going to teach him a lesson. That kind of implies you could have stopped, but didn't so you could keep hitting your target. That in my book is not the right thing to do.
If you couldn't stop, say your sorry (and even point out it was because he walked in front of you while firing), and let it go. It's war, stuff happens.

At times with a 250+ ping it's too late to stop firing there already dead before u can stop so why not just keep firing to kill the other direwolf, which btw i did and pulled out still 900+ damage.
If your doing 75kms, why not go around the building instead of into the stream of fire? it would take idk like another 2 seconds and u would be flanking while i face tank.

That seems reasonable. Unless you're zoomed in and not paying attention to where your lance are, or shooting across established firing lanes, or otherwise not being sufficiently cognizant and collaborative about your team's position.
It's not always as simple as "you walked in front of me, therefore it's your fault".
Incidentally, my ping is 270, so I understand full well what can happen with regards to lag. And if I TK someone, I don't assume it's their fault, I apologize and ask myself whether I could reasonably have avoided that.

I was lvl 1 zoom and had volleys in the air and the enemy was like 500 metres away and they walked into the fire at about 250-300 metres from me.
i would have said sorry but they started to rant and label me a team killer. As a Merc in here to get the job done. When i'm in a 8 man group and the a pug does dumb things and starts ranting and labeling, i'm not going to stop and give them advice on awareness.
when i say stop i mean as in stop my mech to explain to them, there was 2 mechs still to kill before they exited the game before i could respond.

Not enemy whales, not friendly whales.
that being said, if you can avoid a teamkill, you should.
always.

One thing I notice for sure, players in thsi game have no respect or sense of other players. I know I have done it to, but how 4 mechs huddle on the same speck of dirt, blocking LoF, blocking retreats and all that jazz. Its really showing in this game how clueless players are to their surroundings.
PLayers see a mech and 5 mechs will jump on it, shooting thier allies in the back, the face, blocking other LoF...I swear, its like the Planetside 2 Mattherson server NC are playing MWo...team damage galore....
