Removed some unconstructive posts.

Shields Top or Left or Right or Front or Back.
Shields that absorb damage depending on the current charge.
Shields, recharge when you stop.

No.... there are no shields in mechwarrior, and we don't want the game to have recharging health like COD. Mechwarrior is a simulation.

I'm all for hand held shields, or attachable armor plates (all hail the Centurion) that take up Crit Slots and Tonnage. But a rechargeable Magic Bubble? That just ain't Canon.

I'll admit, I wish the matches lasted a bit longer. I remember many a Tabletop match that lasted well into the night, due to the vagaries of luck and tactics. But rechargeable shields is not the way to do it. Slower reload times, a cone of fire, lower damage values. These are all ways to extend fights, without introducing tech that breaks the laws of the (game) universe.

imagine shields on lights, a new wave of immortals.

also your armor is your shield, just not on energybase.

The Centurion's left arm, which features 'shield plate' geometry, has some extra health in the form of 10 bonus armor on the left arm. I don't think any other mechs have armor shaped explicitly to act as shielding (I don't think the Jager's fins count in this case) but such quirks are possible.

It won't be on the Pheonix variant "bike racks" because that would be pay-to-win. It would have to apply equally to C-bill variants to be fair.

I wasn't thinking about those bike racks at all (I forgot we had them actually! ^_^).

I was thinking of the plating that's added to the Locust 1V's arms or how the Thunderbolts and Griffins have those shoulder plates that visibly stick out from the arms for example.

At any rate it'll be a minor quirk anyway, if it would be considered for mechs that have those sorts of geometry.
