Not sure if I care what they get to play as.
As everyone else has this raging thingy for Clan mechs (yet have no idea of thier actual clan names) Specifically the Timberwolf.

I want my Comstar Baby!
I mean alot of us are already hiding out in the FWL :)

Do you really want to wait 3 years before you will see any action?

I would love to see Comstar too, just make the action covert. ;) And I need Comstart to start so other things can happen ...

Comstar was never "out of action" they were constantly disguised as raiders, bandits, and even enemy houses from time to time.
Comstar was a HUGE reason why technology never made it into the house lords hands. Only thanks to Grayson outmanuvering them did the losttech core even surface.

Ya know, the more I think about it, WE need a "secret" guild to set ourselves up, ya know ROM agents ;)

I strongly agree with you, it would be nice to see them as playable faction, besides Comstar does count as an Inner Sphere faction.

Don't forget they also had their own military known as the Com Guards, but they were hidden for a long time.

It'd be interesting to see a Dev play a Comstar in battle from time to time leaving everyone saying *** was that?

I would love to see Comstar. In almost every league I played in I was with Comstar.

I imagine Comstar is going to be an admin and mod only faction for policing the game.

Comstar is a very secretive faction. It's also very picky about it's members. Only the best and most disaplined get into Comstar.

I am with you on adding more factions you can choose from for this game. However, due to the nature of some of these factions and how exclusive they are such as ComStar and Wolf's Dragoons it doesn't seem feasible to give player the ability to immediately join those factions especially if they are planning a conquest system to be put in place for this game in the future. And, by having only the great houses to choose from it allows for a more managable system since they are the more heavily populated factions.

The Word of Blake is written with steel in ink of fire, and bound in shadow. Call those who may not be called, who may never be named, who carry Blake's truth hidden in their hearts as they travel the decadent, strife torn world... the Shadowbound."

The Shadowbound are Com Guard troops sent out into the open world to serve not as spies, like ROM, but as scouts... and students. From House Regiment to mercenary company to pirate band, the Shadowbound are everywhere, their mission to develop the combat skills and acquire the experience the Com Guard will need on the day when it comes into the open...

Sneer if you will, but you could have Shadowbound in your premade right now...

At this time in history Comguard was already public knowledge for some 20 years. After the 4th succession war they persuaded the houses to allow the placement of defensive forces guarding the hyper pulse generators.

I would very much like to play as ComStar if the option was open.
